A judge in Georgia sentenced the world’s most prolific collector of child pornography to 1000 years in prison to make sure the man never got out of jail. The judge labeled the man the “world’s most prolific collector of child pornography” because he had tens of thousands of images and videos not just of naked children, but young children being raped and tortured. In fact, apparently, the man had a larger collection of child porn than anyone else sentenced to prison for that crime. He also installed spy cameras in his business to watch young women using the bathroom.
The Board of Pardon and Parole let the man out of prison after just seven years. He walks the streets of Atlanta even now.
The Board of Pardon and Parole in Georgia has a history of being dismissive of sex crimes. Members of the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals have complained for years, but they have no power over the Board. It is an executive branch department removed even from the control of the Governor himself. The only group that can exert power over it is the Georgia General Assembly through their powers of oversight, investigation, and budget.
The Speaker of the Georgia House could do something, but he has refused. I want to put this in perspective for all of you nationally so you understand what we’re dealing with here.
This week in Georgia, the Republicans will hand a pro-Trump Republican area of the state over to Democrat control in the State House. They’ll carve up their lines to end the political career of a military combat veteran. Philip Singleton flew helicopters in the Middle East during the Iraq War.
Singleton has had the audacity to challenge the Speaker of the Georgia House, a fellow Republican.
As a result, the Republicans in Georgia will, at the behest of the Speaker, hand Singleton’s district to the Democrats. The GOP will, to make this work, give up five of their seats in the State House, in part due to demographic decline, but in part to settle this score for the Speaker. Parts of Fayette and Coweta counties on the south side of Atlanta will be drawn into Atlanta to ensure no Republican can get elected there despite Trump winning the area.
Trump’s voters and Republicans will be marginalized in the State House all because a Republican combat veteran had the audacity to challenge his own Republican Speaker. And unless the voters rise up, it will happen this week.
Meanwhile, the world’s most prolific collector of child pornography who should still be in prison another 990 years roams the streets of Atlanta and the Speaker of the House of Representatives has done nothing to challenge the Board of Pardon and Paroles.
Ralston needs to be canceled. If Dr. Seuss can be canceled why not D. Ralston? (Vote him OUT!)
Our federal government says that the large birthmark (portwine stain) on my face is a handicap. It may have kept me from certain jobs, or even from getting into the gospel ministry. One presbytery turned me down for the ministry because I am "unstable," so I joined the Army, and now am Army Reserve retired.
Several years ago (before COVID), contemplating the moral failures of the USA and reading the Book of Jeremiah, I got the idea of treating the Russians the way Jeremiah told Zedekiah to treat the Babylonians. In Russia and eastern Europe Christianity seems to be on the rise. After the Republican debacle in the Senate races in Georgia last year, I started contributing less to political causes in the USA and have paid out money for a tour of churches and museums in Russia instead -- around Easter of this coming year. The elders of my Conservative (PCA) church have encouraged me. God willing, I'll go -- and find some people with whom I can share my translation of the Westminster Shorter Catechism into Russian! We live in a crazy world where Vladimir Putin stands up for "family values" more than do the leaders of the majority party in the United States. For the USA I think "parental rights" is the way to go. Start a "Parents' Party!"
