This is all meant to divide us. Imagine for a moment if we all sat down and had a realistic talk. We'd likely realized we are being played and truly flush the swamp. This is what they are trying to avoid.
I heard Joe Biden give a speech today, yelling really, about how everyone should just accept the outcome of the election. To move on, it is what it is. I personally do not have a problem doing that. However, for four years that Donald Trump was president the democrats never accepted that he won the election. They never moved on. They acted like two year old's. They never respected him as president. So why is Joe yelling at people - about something his party could not do. Joe didn't yell at Nancy or Chuck or any democrat for not accepting the outcome. Double standards I see in everything.
As I sit here at my home computer doing telepsych and seeing my 1200th patient of the day, I realize how mental illness knows no systemic anything let alone racism. What is racism? she says. Most of my patients are of color and minorities. I am in public mental health. I am privileged. I don't know racism. They love me, they adore me and I am honored to be their provider. I treat them: all colors, all ethnicities no matter the legal status and all social status, crimes they have committed, murder, child molestation, drug addiction you name it. They fall into my arms, dirty and smelly and messy. I patch them up, I am the fixer. I diagnosis, medicate, do therapy, appear in court etc etc anything related to care and treatment of the mentally ill I do. So, no Virginia, I don't know "systemic" racism in my world of mental health. I have passed the test, but I knew that all along. I am not a racist nor does my profession of mental health care represent any form or fashion of "systemic" racism. So just cut it out. I am not buying it. I have been doing this for 40 years and I know what I am doing and what I am talking about it. I see no color, we are all the same. Just walking each other home.
When I hear the claims of "systemic racism"...I think of when my best friend's only son was murdered by a black man (who was out on parole for a previous violent assault), shot for no apparent reason point blank in the head, killing him instantly, in front of two witnesses who he was known to personally, and the prosecutor warning my friend that if she attended the trial, he would have her removed from the courtroom if she "displayed emotion" or began to cry during the testimony. She was told that any "overt" display of emotion could "unfairly prejudice" the jury against her son's killer, might lead to a mistrial, and...the DA reminded her, the murderer was already "suffering from racial prejudice" because he was "black in America"...and told her not to even look at the killer in the courtroom because her "hatred" for him was so obvious.
She was the mother of a murder victim, basically being told she needed to have "empathy" for her only child's murderer because of his race...and tacitly being scolded for "racism" against her son's killer. Pretty darn sure she would have hated whoever murdered her son, regardless of his race.
Right on target Erick - It was maddening to learn of Rhoden's extensive rap sheet with no apparent application of justice. I know of a non-black kid who spent 10 days in jail for smoking pot in a car. I guess it depends on where you break the law. We don't need to defund the police, who appeared to have done their jobs on all of Rhoden's arrests. We many need to defund the weak DA's offices or at least remove the "Let's Make a Deal" app on their iPhones.
The Democrats’ antics are getting very tiring. I’ve got to think that most Americans’ patience - save for the hard core loony left - is wearing very thin.
Unfortunately Joe I don't think enough voters are informed enough to see through the lies. The left are playing the long game an have been doing so for a while now. I am praying for our country.
Nailed it, Erick! Claims of ‘systemic racism’ are definitely “a convenient way to not have to deal with deeper issues…”. Not to say that there is no racism, which you have said often, Erick. Deal with it, call it out effectively case-by case. It’s not systemic.
And that image of the run-away Texas legislators is hilarious, if it weren’t maddening, as mentioned in a previous comment. Masks seem to be effective mostly for theater today, as Rand Paul says.
This is ridiculous. Sounds like he has money and or connections to keep getting released. But as far as the claim you are making, that this somehow shows that systemic racism doesn't exist, is false. absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Plenty of other incidents that fly in the face of this anecdote so....
Google it. If you are truly interested in examples you can research it. It isn't my job to convince you. Educate yourself. I doubt you will though. You're just looking for a reason to argue. I'm not interested in that.
Yes, "he has money and or connections to keep getting released" accounts for many more variables in these situations, just like violently resisting arrest makes a much better explanation of why people die during police encounters.

Somewhere else it was claimed they took 4 private jets. Either way, how much CO2 was generated to accomplish this cunning stunt?
Texas dems remind me of 3 year olds on a playground. They did not get their way so they took their toys and went home crying.

:) All we can do is pray for them!

Understood. We’re all praying, but I do believe the good guys ultimately win! And Erick, what’s going on in Fulton County!?!
Double standards running rampant!

Please name some specific examples of "systemic racism" in America.
Google it. If you are truly interested in examples you can research it. It isn't my job to convince you. Educate yourself. I doubt you will though. You're just looking for a reason to argue. I'm not interested in that.
All I asked was for you to give us some specific examples of "systemic racism." The fact that you cannot proves my point.
It proves nothing. Google "examples of systemic racism" and you will find the answers you seek. Good day sir.
LOL
