Erick's piece is just one more example of the downfall of the rule of law. By law, the attacks on Paul Pelosi and Rand Paul are both crimes, and should be reported and prosecuted accordingly. But because several generations have now been taught to think with their feelings and apply moral equivalency, we get crap like this. And people wonder how pre-WWII Germany could have been led so astray.

There was an interesting statistic Chuck Todd highlighted today on Meet the Depressed. Threats against members of Congress has increased 144% from 2017 to 2021.

I am beyond tired of the democrat claims of conservative violence to blatant hypocracy regarding the rampant, raging, leftist malfeasance and just the outright loons who are both excused and enabled as a matter of standard leftist policy.

The fact that this wasn't immediately shoved under the carpet is a huge admission of their desparation at this point. Hillary Clinton has zero credibility, platinum electrified afro dude on MSNBC? Same story.

I assume they are trying to motivate their base because no-one w/ a brain capable of rational thought would believe it. I'm over this whole circus. I pray for the Twitter phenomena drifting toward the possibility of truth spreads to shame harpies on the View, HIllary, et al who are serial lying trolls.

“The Republican Party and its mouthpieces now regularly spread hate and deranged conspiracy theories,” Clinton exclaims. “It is shocking, but not surprising, that violence is the result. As citizens, we must hold them accountable for their words and the actions that follow.”

These people have been free to spew whatever vile excrement out of their face-hole. This harpy needs a dose of the truth and measured against even the most lenient concept of honorable discourse

Also, the glass at the Pelosi house was broken from the inside ! Fishy. Who was the injured person that Paul Pelosi hit at 2AM on his DUI ?

Expand full comment

Ok, so do we really need to go there from a conspiracy perspective? Do we really want to think as rational thinking human beings that Nancy Pelosi's husband is going to be sacreficed to freaking have surgery to repair his fractured skull? Come on, lets not lower ourselves to their level.

Just questioning this story. Seems theres a cover up like his DUI

No democrat story as it would seem, but does it really matter? I find it hard to believe they would set Paul Pelosi this way. Its beyond even their riculous levels of politcal calculus. Even if it went too far.

And there’s a story floating in SF circles that Pelosi left a gay bar with his attacker. Entirely plausible. Will any media outlet look into it? Do know the ones that do will be attacked. The Democrats don’t just need to be defeated next week, they need to be destroyed.

Yep. Hillary Clinton tweeted that Republicans were to blame for this attack. Elon Musk responded "There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye" and then linked a Santa Monica Observer story entitled "The Awful Truth: Paul Pelosi Was Drunk Again, And In a Dispute With a Male Prostitute Early Friday Morning."

He then pulled his tweet due to the credibility of the outlet. Either way, this story has already changed so much and the 911 call is so weird, one should not take the new story at face value. An honest press would figure it out, but we don’t have an honest press.

Thanks for the update, I'll stop repeating Musk's tweet. In my defense (and to your point), the male prostitute story made more sense than what is being reported. Stay tuned, I'm sure there's more to come.

What I'm trying to say is... The interest going up sux for the people and the consumer! But seeing retail and housing back off maybe a good thing?

Expand full comment

The effects I see. Retail and rent are scared! And we all what is coming! Love your program! Listen as much as I can

This comment may be off topic but want you to take note. As I was listening to wSB Friday morning they reported that car dealership and apartment rental are going down. It feels to me that the interest rate is having an effect on retail and housing

The fact that the media themselves have created this distrust, maybe the public, by turning their back on them will suffice that they rethink what they’re doing. Otherwise there’s no need for them to report. It’s sad times.

And wait till after the elections when Dems are swept out, will violence come out again. And supported by Dems and the news. (Think fiery but peaceful protests but bigger) I just see it coming sadly

Clearly, more Common Sense hammer control is needed. We need cooling off periods before people can waltz out of a Lowes’ or Home Depot with a hammer. We need One Hammer A Month limits on the purchase of hammers. We need laws universal background checks for hammer purchases, and we need to be sure that only people over 21 are allowed to buy hammers. Ban Assault Hammers, NOW! Think of the CHILDREN! Ban Paslode nail guns, too!

...exactly...! And clearly, for those who think that a hammer should be a self-defense tool, this one example obviously shows that in practically every instance, the attacker will take the hammer away from the victim and use it against them.

...on a totally separate note - while I don't advocate gun ownership by those who don't want one - had Paul Pelosi brought back a gun, rather than a hammer, to the confrontation, this would have ended very differently...!

Just remember, when hammers are outlawed only outlaws will have hammers.

William T. Sherman. 1862

“The American press,” he wrote his brother Senator John Sherman, “is a shame and a reproach to a civilized people. When a man is too lazy to work, & too cowardly to steal, he becomes an editor & manufactures public opinion.”

I’m surprised it’s taken people this long to see this crap. I started seeing it almost 30 years ago when CBS did a story on all of the black churches being burned (I think it was ‘95 or ‘96). The whole piece was on 32 black churches being set ablaze, presumably by racists. Then, at the end of the clip, they also mentioned, as a side note, that in the same period, that almost the same number, 28 white churches had been set on fire.

You've nailed it, Mr. Erickson. Though their adherents may still believe press reports from media hacks, the rest of the public has written off virtually all their biased coverage. Most of us neither hear nor see anything that emanates from mainstream TV, radio, or print. We now know it's 50% horse manure, 50% bulls**t and 100% fabrication. Let's Go Brandon!

I don't even feel most in the media believe the garbage they spew. They know it is all lies and do it anyway...which is the most offensive part of it all.

Absolutely nailed it. There was a time you could argue the MSM was trying to report the truth. No longer. They desperately wanted this guy to be some steely eyed assassin working with a cabal of Patriot Boys, Oath Keepers, and Trump himself. Instead, they simply have a mentally ill guy in his underwear.
