Joe Biden admitted to Erin Burnett on CNN last night that his administration is withholding military aid for Israel if the IDF presses forward with an invasion of Rafah. There are a few points that need to be made on this:
Erin Burnett deserves a ton of credit. By pressing Biden beyond his highly scripted answers, Burnett got Biden to admit that congressionally approved aid was actively being withheld from our only ally in the region. The White House tried to keep the move under wraps for over a week now. If she had conducted the softball interview the White House expected, this still would not be public.
The military aid to Israel was already authorized by Congress. Donald Trump was impeached for a nearly identical matter when he withheld congressionally approved aid for Ukraine after Russia invaded. When Scott Jennings made this point on CNN, David Axelrod jumped to attack the comparison but wasn’t able to articulate a distinction. This should be impeachable.
This seems to be a turning point politically. A number of friends of mine who oppose Donald Trump have texted me this morning claiming that if Biden is subverting constitutional order, they might as well vote for Trump. Jonah Goldberg said nearly the exact same thing on Twitter: “I’ve heard from a LOT of reliably anti-Trump people - I mean really, really, anti-Trump people - who have had it with Biden tonight. Anecdotal, to be sure. But very telling in my circle.”
But that’s not all. Watch:
I suggest that instead of impeaching Biden, we should let the wounded rabbit lie in the field. The coyotes will take care of him.
What ? Rules do not apply the same to Democrats especially Biden
