Fox News? Huh? Oh that’s the one I stopped watching after they cancelled (in the modern sense of the word) Tucker Carlson. I have no delusions about what Tucker is, he’s a right wing propagandist. And we absolutely need at least one just like him on our side ….

I have been around since the Mushroom Cloud commercial, I have seen the assiduous build up of biasness with the Alphabet channels and MSM. In 1992 CNN was a leader and they never put anything negative on against Dems and BC. Little big eared crazy and lost in the attic Ross Perot (1992 and 1996) enable BC to be elected. Fox has its faults, but on the other hand, it has been a gift to those other than the channel locked tunnel visioned Progressive mind. So now will the veil ever be replaced back on The Lady of Justice? nope

The bias across most of major media is pretty rampant including at Fox. The discovery produced as part of the dominion lawsuit pretty clearly shows what the Executives and media personalities at Fox truly think of their audience and the audience's ability to handle unpleasant information (see treatment of Kristin Fisher and Chris Stirewalt and countless others). Not that anyone reading this comment will ever look at some of the information uncovered in that suit but I will summarize for you: Media gets paid to tell you what they think you want to hear and the incomes of those that work in that industry in large part depend on the degree to which they are willing to intentionally select stories, alter facts, and exclusively show perspectives that sync up with exactly what the audience already believes.

I think much of Fox's success has to do with them having faced much less competition to do this for a conservative audience among major media companies vs. the many that do this for the leftists. Bigger share of a market that had less competition historically. With OAN, and Newsmax on the scene we'll see how long that lasts.

"... most especially, hate its viewers."

I think this is key. These people hold middle America in disdain, if not for these mouth breathing troglodytes who don't know what's good for them...

These people hate the game, the players, and spectators. They want to be the game and demand the spectators support their players.

Let's also not forget that before Fox News there was Fox Network. Murdoch created an alternative prime time network that was exceptionally successful and launched some groundbreaking programming. Remember Married with Children? The mainstream networks heads were exploding, and he triumphed. Just like Fox News...

One of the very few things that I dislike about Fox is I wish that they would not play clips from other networks. I makes me crazy . If I wanted to know what those morons had to say I would tune in. Thank God for the mute button. Love Bret Baier and the Five especially Dana Perino.

I live in a condo community in St Augustine FL. I have all kinds of people around me, mostly liberals. After listening during my lunch hour to the 7,000 illegals yesterday and the 35,000 over the last weekend and seeing the video on Fox with Bill and Griff, I heard my neighbors saying how crazy the Republicans are for blowing up the numbers - said they - not even 3,000 over the weekend. I lovingly told my neighbors they should turn on NewsMax and Fox and hear the truth - if you go to church and believe Jesus tells the truth, you should be able to change your channel from time to time to understand what is really happening - and listen to Erick Erickson on a daily basis. Their response was polite but they will watch what they always watch. We are seeing more and more unusual people in our neighborhoods - though we have a pretty large group of homeless - you know who they aere because they've been here for so long. When I see someone who looks like they're MS-13 or similar I call our Sheriff's dept and give them the info - they always say thank you and keep calling them in.

They will change their tune when the get exposed to TB but with their shortsightedness and lack of common sense it will be too late. They will be coughing at the wind.

I would posit that the other networks aren't treating their viewers with contempt, they're simply preaching to their congregation. And while it's astonishing to think those networks would have ANY believers, I have to remind myself that even Heaven's Gate, with their wacky "mothership" theology, led 39 people to their graves in a mass suicide that was supposed to elevate them to a higher being. No, I don't think it's contempt, I think they all sincerely believe the crap they're being shoveled.

Thanks for your comments (info) yesterday on the money we're sending to Ukraine. My wife and I, separately, heard you on WSB and were both excited with information we had not heard before, even on Fox News. Your explanation needs to be explained to more people, it would change minds!

The only “news” program I make it a point to watch is Bret Baier at 6 weeknights. They are scrupulously fair in their discussion panels, always having a Democrat talking point regurgitator or MSM member. His interviews from Saudi this week, including the Crown Prince’s fist in English, were eye opening.

The Saudi interview was excellent and really showed how far down the rabbit hole we are with our current govt. Granted he has the power & the money plus a much smaller population, but what the Crown Prince has accomplished in such a short time is amazing, especially in regards to women's rights. A young energetic man who wants to put his country and its people first VS our narcissistic, greedy, power mad, America last, Green ND first, geriatric nursing home for freeloaders govt.

Sadly, even Fox has taken a step back. That being said, they still do a pretty decent job of covering news and stories that resonate with pretty much everyone outside of the power corridors and the woke, white inner city “elite”. It will be interesting to see if they stay on task or veer totally off course.

Good write up about Fox, but I think you should also respect the coverage that Newsmax is providing. This morning they had a very interesting story, with a lot of film, about the Mexican cartel that is literally controlling the border. Very interesting facts were presented that were unknown to me, and I'm sure others about the cartel's influence, right at the border. Newsmax is an upcoming major player for conservative viewers, certainly not near as flashy or dynamic as Fox.

I’m sure Erick didn’t reference Newsmax because his article dealt with the liberal news media’s specific attack on Fox. Of course, Rupert Murdoch’s retirement yesterday gave them an excuse to once again castigate Fox. I’ve never heard the corporate news media attack Newsmax so it is irrelevant to what Erick was discussing.

This is my point exactly. If you listed to any news outlet not named fox, the anchors on those networks report on Woke ideologies being rejected such as males playing in womens sports and you can hear the inflection within their voice and shock that people are so fervently against it.

For example one of them may say "In a shocking turn of events a group of parents stormed into a school board meeting to protest the inclusion of certain books that have diverse characters in them.. this after the January 6 riots where right wing insurgents stormed the capitol." When in reality the parents showed up quietly and simply rose to state their strong heartfelt opinions on why a book full of gay porn was being allowed to enter into an elementary library while To Kill a Mockingbird was banned.

The media loves to insight, propagate, and most of all manipulate the narrative.

Lastly, but not the only point, they love to live in the world of irony and hypocrisy. 1696 counties in super liberal areas have banned the book Fahrenheit 451 from school libraries, a book about a dystopian future government that has banned books. Irony?

They shout at places like Texas and Arizona for not allowing or taking care of hundreds of thousands of illegals that cross the border every month, sometimes every week, but now are upset because a handful are bussed to these blue cities.

These media outlets like CNN and MSNBC live in a fantasy world. I don't want them to get it. I want them to go off the air and save us from their incessant preaching of liberal values that are evil.
