I’m not ready to let go.
Rush Limbaugh talked 3 hours a day, 15 hours a week for 48 weeks a year for 33 years. The left has trotted out a number of comments they take offense at and the overwhelming majority are out of context. But even then, that they have as few as they do in light of the more than 22,000 total hours of radio Rush Limbaugh did is another testament to his excellence.
We witnesses a man single handedly build not just an industry, but one the left has never been able to master itself. For that, as much as for anything, they not only resented him, but sought to use the regulatory state to shut him and talk radio down.
The man was remarkable. I will miss him. I will miss our 3am exchanges on Apple products. I will miss trying to race him to get my iPhone order in first. I will miss his laugh and optimism.
I hope, when I die, the ghouls of the left and failures of talk radio will respond in kind. It will be a measure of my success. If a man’s virtues are revealed by his enemies, Rush’s virtues were a love of country, rugged individualism, success, and humor.
That’s all for today. I don’t have the energy to write more. I know there are a lot of new free signups. So I do want to encourage you, if you are able and willing, to actually subscribe to get all the content.
I was raised by a pack of wild teachers. I was taught to believe Rush was a liar. Then in my early 20’s I was driving a delivery truck and found myself listening to talk radio and agreeing largely with what he said. Rush, with half his brain tied behind his back (to make it fair), brought me from the dark side. Thank you Mr. Limbaugh. Rest In Peace.
