Trump has been in the spotlight for forty years. There's nothing the electorate doesn't know about him. He got seventy-four million votes last time, far more than any candidate in our history, other than "lunch-pail" Joe Biden. Biden was also a known quantity, having been on the national scene for fifty years. But Joe isn't running this time. Kamala is. Despite being VP for the last four years, she's still largely undefined as a national leader. The Democrats did double duty trying to hide Joe's dementia and Kamala's bossiness, dimwittedness, overweening ambition, and general unlikability. She's in the spotlight now, and she's really bad on her feet. You're wrong if you think her policies and performance won't matter in the face of Trump's character flaws. His flaws have been discounted because voters know his positions on immigration, crime, inflation, defense, and every other issue that matters to them are vastly superior to Kamala's.

The Left, we're just pointing out the truth about about Trump and drawing editorial conclusions (whispers, we may not be able to stop him at the ballot box, soooooo)

In the clip, she said, "These children aren't going to have a merry Christmas." And she makes no mention of amnesty whatsoever.

Sounds to me like she was trying to make a very different point than that which you are suggesting; perhaps to the effect that it is wrong for us to be celebratory while immigrant children are suffering. Her tone of outrage further suggests that she might have made these remarks while children were being separated from their parents by the Trump administration as a deliberate strategy to discourage illegal immigration. As I understand the man whose birthday is celebrated on Christmas, he would have shared Harris' concern about the welfare of children, regardless of their immigration status.

Context matters, Erick, and you well know it. Shame on you.

As concerns the Vance clip commenting on Trump's utterly silly suggestion that Harris has presented herself as anything other than black, she not only joined a black sorority, she did so at the historically black college that she attended. This is an illustration of Trump as "divider in chief" as he tries to get black people not to like Harris because . . . she's asian. Shame on him as well.

And so the search goes on for something that might work against Harris. Good luck.

A quick 30-second search for some things that might work against Harris:

- Terrible prosecutor: As SF DA, her felony conviction rate was well below the state DA average.

- Weak attorney general: As CA AG, violent crime increased 10% after 22-year decline.

- Do-nothing Senator: Her legislative history in the U.S. Senate is void of any accomplishment, and she ranked most politically left and second-most absent for Senate votes.

- Selected as VP because Biden wanted a "Black woman" as his running mate.

- As Biden's "Border Czar" (gotta love it!), she never went to the border. We're still waiting for the "root-cause analysis" of the worst border crisis in our nation's history - 11 million illegals.

- As Biden's lead on preventing gun violence, she has ignored Mexico's cries to stop the illegal flow of U.S. arms into that country. Biden also put her in charge of "Artificial Intelligence" (that alone is worth a huge Kamala Kackle).

Bottom Line: Harris is a symbol without substance. (Thank you Craig J. DeLuz, Project 21)

Wait, no felony convictions, sexual assaults, or initiation of riots preventing the peaceful transfer of power for the first time in our nation's history?

This will be one of the most negative presidential campaigns in American history. Whereas everything you've listed are mere issues of policy or job performance, Democrats will be attacking Trump's character and basic fitness for office. So if that's all you've got again I say, good luck.

I love all these people feeling sorry for themselves, aptting themselves on the back for their frugality comparing how bad their clunker was in the day compared w/ the profligate poor of today - able to live extravagantly compared to how they lived like church mice when they were young.

I am particularly amused by the comments about how all the poor today have cellphones. Puhleez!!! There are almost no pay phones today; few people have landlines anymore for a great variety of reasons.(we just gave up ours and used the # for an emergency cell phone. )

Try to make an appointment for a doctor's appt or anything having to do w/ healthcare w/o a cellphone or internet access these days.

Try to buy something w/o some kind of electronic intervention including going to the store.

Try to take a bus or other form of shared ride w/o a cellphone.

Even safety net assistance is all electronic. Food stamps have gone from paper to plastic to cyberspace. Even poor people in the so-called 3rd world have cell phones.

Thought this was her exactly just a chameleon on every issue. Also does she not know that most of the illegals are fleeing Christian countries and they do celebrate Christmas! So very merry Christmas Kamala Chameleon!

I think Trump missed an excellent opportunity at the Black Journalist interview. When the obnoxious ABC propagandist pressed him about KH being a DEI hire he should have quoted Biden directly when he said that he was going to pick a black female for VP. No other qualifications or expertise was mentioned...just the VP choice had to be black and female. Pure DEI.

Expand full comment

I imagine she would have just continued to "play" dumb. If I recall her definition was to just repeat the three words and say that is the definition. To me the best reply would have been that Biden is responsible for any appearance of her being a DEI hire when he said he would hire a woman of color. Instead of stating the qualities he was looking for he said what he wanted the person to look like. Hard not to think of that person as a DEI hire.

He probably would have been better served to continue to press her on the definition of DEI. She could not or did not want to define it. Regardless, he then gave chum to the media who basically reported only that he said she wasn’t black and gave no context. The DEI thing is a losing proposition in my opinion. There are more important issues that need to be hammered on but does Trump have the ability to stay on message? At this point I don’t think so.

I agree. Trump should have said, if you define it, and I'll use that to answer your question.

Easy find. It was from 2017, while shr was a senator, and it had to do with DACA. Fox News just reposted the video as a "flashback" video. I Googled"Kampala Harris Merry Christmas. Illegal children" and it popped up.

Yes. Erick should include a "copy and paste" link so these clips can be spread far and wide.

Miz Harris, a staunch progressive, likely believes Christmas is about gifts and food and nothing more. The birth of a savior is what we celebrate. Christians living under persecution in nations like Myanmar and Sudan celebrate Christmas with more fervor than most. But I do not expect a leftist like Harris to understand the faith.
