Erick, I am late to the comments, so I likely will add nothing to the discussion, but decided to say something regardless.

I wish both the likely candidates had Christians that would challenge them on their understanding of the gospel and on Christ. Both men are clearly approaching the end of their lives. Eternity stands before them, and it benefits them nothing to have gained everything they have, and lose their souls.

They both need the gift of repentance. It is a gift not to be taken lightly. Knowledge is important but only knowledge with action matters.

I look forward to a day when I can vote for someone, not simply against the poorer of two bad choices. I am not a never Trumper and I have voted against Hillary and Joe, (and for Trump) but never really for Trump.

Who do you know that might meet with Trump and tell him the gospel? I had hoped his vice-president, Mike Pence, had shared the gospel with him. Part of what tears me up is how MIke Pence was treated by Trump. How four years of solid backing, was undone by the sense that failure to subvert the electoral process meant that Mike Pence was not a loyal and faithful friend.

That event, all by itself, will likely push me to vote for a third party candidate (depending on who that is, as it is still possible that candidate would be worse than Trump.). It is what drives me to back Hayley even though I am confident she will not be the nominee.

Some one needs to get to Donald and Joe, and let them know that the real day of reckoning approaches for both of them, and hell is not a successful conclusion to the life lived on this side of the veil, regardless of how wonderful life appeared to be on this side.

Pray for these men. They dance on a spiders web above a fiery pit. I never want to see anyone fall into the hands of a angry God.

Stay the course my friend. You are not perfect, but it encourages me to see a Christian speaking truth regardless of the cost. Charles

As a Boomer, Erick, I totally appreciate all the angles you present to us on your show. I love it that you read a wide variety of publications on both sides so you can synthesize the information and present it to us. We MUST be able to base our opinion on as much data as we can access, otherwise, we are just as ignorant as the lefties. I WANT to know what they are up to. We don't help ourselves or anyone else when we become black and white thinkers just to make ourselves comfortable because that isn't the way the world works. Please keep digging through everything...all the data, the written word, the opinions, the audio clips, etc. on both sides so we can make intelligent decisions about who should lead our country. As I've said before, I will vote for a cardboard cutout of Elvis in order to rid this country of the cancers that are running it now!

Erick, never fear truth, even if it is your truth. Two things I ponder. Christ forgave sinners (of which you and I are among the worst). He certainly can and perhaps has forgiven Trump - only He knows. The Holy Spirit and the Word change people. The worst sinners are lead by the Spirit into the “light” and learn to live differently. I choose to pray that Mr. Trump’s faith in Christ becomes real to him, and that the Holy Spirit makes out of him a godly man, and a great leader.

Robert feels that being in an echo chamber = unity. He probably got that from Rush. As analytical as Rush was he, in my opinion, fought the left and therefore affirmed the right, particularly the get off my lawn boomers.

You are not Rush, and I mean that as a compliment. You are the best of Rush and Neal Boortz, at least the Boortz of the 90's and early 2000's.

You give me information that I can actually use, apply in conversations and arguments.

I am no going to read the NYT or the WaPo, or watch CNN or FOX. God bless you for doing it.

It is hard to be a moderate Republican these days. Being critical of Donald Trump is almost seen as heretical so his loyal fans, and he is just such a poor leader! Devoted Trumpers love him; the rest of us cannot stand the thought of him being President again. Good leaders don’t have that problem.

Regretfully, it's a binary choice. While I am not a fan of President Trump's rhetoric, his polices are 80% in alignment with mine. Of course, those of the Biden administration are infuriating. Homeland Security reported 300,000+ contacts on the southern border in December alone, with 80% of those 'released' into the country. Over 100,000 Americans were killed by Fentanyl flowing across that border in 2023. The attacks on national unity by the race baiters and DEI marxists supported by our government is INSANE. Don't get me started on government overspending/debt and it's near-horizon impact on our lives. The primary is over, I agree that the candidates are not the best, but the choice is easy: President Trump.

The ballots in 2016 could have been marked "Not Hillary" and "Not Trump" and we would have had the same result. In 2020 it could have been "Not Trump" and "Not Biden" and on the upcoming 2024 election we could do the same...

I'm a Boomer and couldn't agree with you more.

While I've been a lifelong Republican and not an establishment person I can't be a rah rah for what this this party has turned into since the 2016 election. It's so sad that a person can't offer any constructive criticism without people wanting to take your head off.

Unfortunately, there two forms of TDS Trump Derangement Syndrome. One can see no good in him; the other no bad.

I understand but what did he lie about while office? I am not aware of anything having to do with his role as President that he lied about. We don’t know if he met the person that he took a picture with. I have done the same with individuals in group settings that someone may have said this so and so. The picture then taken but I don’t remember meeting them. As far as the lead up to Jan 6, at the time much was not known and many theories were being reported. I don’t like the fact that he still living in the past but all this came after his time in office.

I am a "boomer," and I turn to Erick Erickson for honest and unbiased news. I regret having to agree with Erick here, but I think that he is right. In November, the majority of us will have to choose between Joe Biden and Donald Trump whether we like them as candidates for president or not. If they are our choices, I pray that Donald Trump wins.

I have never and will never compare Trump or anyone else, to Christ. There is no comparison, there has never been any perfect man on earth except Jesus Christ.

Oh but unfortunately many people do.

I agree and I think that since many people do, then some people think that all do so. I want people to know there are some of us out here who do not compare. Thanks for your comment. It shocks me that you say many do - but I know you are correct - I'd be naive to think otherwise.
