Patpong and Soi Cowboy were not available to men who were working 6 days a week 12 hours a day and one day off. They were not something a Christian should attend for sure. The one way distance between Bangkok and U-Tapao is 114 miles. Not a trip that could be taken with out more than one day off.

Okay, I'll wait until they ditch the Corporate Purpose language and start opening on Sundays. Then I'll know they're spitting on S. Truett Cathy's grave. In the meantime, they've caved enough that I'm not going there anymore.

If only people would follow the trails and learn all the facts. Again, my comment that this is where you come in to keep us all informed of real facts (and real logic, good sense, right thinking) that we don't find on our own. You are the link to sanity and truth imho.

By the way way my wife is Thai and we have been married 49 years. If you want to tour the country from your armchair. Patty Doyle on YouTube has toured all 77 provinces.

I with you Eric. These individuals who believe they need a diversity Representative need to spend 15 minutes in Bangkok. Where Diversity and inclusion is their culture.

1st introduced to it in 1971.

I can only imagine what it was like in 1971. I have done a lot of work in BBK since 2006. I would not call DEI their culture. It is more of a live and let live culture that is consistent with Buddhism. If you are walking around the city near the redlight districts you will encounter "ladyboys" etc. Out in the rural areas of the country and even in the suburbs the alternative lifestyles are not as accepted and are frowned upon. The Kingdom/Government does not promote or even acknowledge LGBTIQ+ Here in the US it is being shoved in our face constantly and are expected to not only acknowledge it but accept it and celebrate it.

As you said you weren’t there in 1971 . Utapao AFB and Camp Samisan sported about 10,000 Troops. There was Newland , Kilosip, Sattahip and Pattaya.

Bands playing from the Philippines in downtown.

Bars closed about 3 AM.

We visited Thailand in 1978 and every 2 years until 2010.

Thailand is User Friendly.

I worked online with customers in Bangkok from 2016 to 2019.

Well, I definitely understand that it was more overwhelming during the Vietnam area with thousands and thousands of troops looking for a "good time" and R&R. As a Christian, I do not go to the bars and redlight areas like Patpong or Soi Cowboy. So I have probably not experienced the full throttle DEI culture.

Picking and choosing our fights is important but I do share the alarm with folks Erick criticizes that DEI statement and the creation of a Diversity Office is a slippery slope. It is also perplexing and a tad bit enraging that anyone at Chic-Fil-A would think their customers would want the company dabbling with left wing politics but there is the rub, the investment firms that influence companies like Chic-Fil-A are the ones pushing this crap. Conservatives should boycott companies that cross the line but Republicans also need to do some good old fashioned trust busting if we want to maintain a free market.

This right here. I don’t know who is making all the noise on this but it’s not like Chick Fil-a is pushing this in their stores. The Right(or whomever this is that is doing this) should just allow the Left to eat themselves as they inevitably will. Granted, some pushback is necessary since they would not hesitate to use government force to, as Erick says, “force us to care.” I have gay friends who are sick of the trans stuff being pushed. I imagine there are many like them that may be on the fence with whom to vote for, but this type of stuff will just make them stick with the crazy Left.

I remember eating at the Dwarf House in Jonesboro when it was one of two. Not the world’s biggest CFA fan, not because of a lack of admiration for the Cathy family but because waffle fries are an abomination.😀

This is one more idiotic cancel effort. On the right, this time.

I can't actually boycott any of the three companies because I never bought from them in the first place. That is true of most things recommended for boycott. However, while I agree about Chic-fil-A, Target is entirely different. Satan worshipping designer? With "tuck" clothing for kids"? With logos celebrating the alphabet people on onesies? Nope, boycott the heck out of that. And it seems a lot are.

I don’t boycott CFA for their DEI department, I don’t eat there because the food is over priced, generally unhealthy and doesn’t taste better than any other fast food.

Simulating the washing of a black man's feet in a tv studio is the act of a Pharisee. True Christian humility and charitable acts are performed such that the left hand does not know the right hand's actions. That is why many of us were revolted by Mr. Cathy's performance.

Chik-Fil-A is a big target and sadly many hunt for big targets, spew their ilk and move to the next big target. Diversity is a good thing. CFA is taking back its definition from the world, and putting it in the context of the Gospel. Christianity must stand

firm on the Truth.

Well stated Erickson, we need discernment now more than ever and some people jump too fast before the facts are known.

Chic-fil-a has always been inclusive. Are they really changing anything but the label? They are not taking an In your face pro-pride or pro-trans stance like Target, Bud Light, or North Face. So I’m still going to Chic fil a. Now if they start to wrap my chicken sandwich in the pride flag I’ll definitely reconsider. :)
