Erick, I take issue with your statement “we are not a tribe.” We most certainly are. Find me the Biblical reference that tribes are abolished. As a tribe, we should behave like followers of Christ, holy, set apart, destined for heavenly things. But don’t say we are not a tribe. “Your people” is who God wants you to be with. “Every tribe and tongue and nation” will worship the King.

I always appreciate your thoughts, especially this Holy Week. When the world presses down on me, I have to tell myself But God ……. Thank God for your Biblical truths spoken with conviction.

And, as I speak, the "United" Methodist Church is barreling towards a split that has many of the same reasons you listed as its cause. Peace be with you all.🙏

As an SBC Pastor, we are waiting to see what the behavior and the choices will be. It is too bad that many of those in the position to make choices behave as you have described--all to accurately BTW. Many of my Pastor friends who see this are waiting to see what the Lord will reveal--even through the bad behavior of individuals. At that point we will see what direction we will go. You have pointed this out again and again: believers should never be confused with the world, the lost, by our behavior.

I believe this may have been the point Jesus was making when He mused, "When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith?" Grace!

Context is everything and maybe we should choose the Acts 1:26 way!

Enjoyed all. But must say that His word also tells us that in the later days, there will be a falling away of the Church. And when you were telling about the Baptist Convention, I also see these things with a lot of the Churches and that many closed during the covid time we have come through and I feel that as I study His word each day I see us getting closer to those times. Come Quickly Lord Jesus.
