So why didn't Mike Stone rebuke his followers who were employing evil tactics?

These politicized shenanigans present enough worldly hype to, maybe even, drive a good ole boy out of the fold. Why, even joining the Methodists, or the Presbyterians, Pentecostals or, God forbid the Episcopalians would be better than putting up this such carnally corrupted contention.

The only thing that seems to matter in the post-modern GOP is the performative leg-humping and total adoration of the Cult Leader, Donald Trump. Real conservatives are being thrown under the Trump bus because they do not express enough personal loyalty to the loser of the 2020 election, and because they had the integrity to not violate their oaths of office and support a coup and a mob trying to hang Mike Pence. Sorry but there's something wrong with this picture.

It's always refreshing and surprising when a denomination which owes its existence to the fact that a large number of white supremacists found other white supremacists insufficiently devoted to the cause of white supremacy chooses a leader who isn't the most virulent in the room.

I still believe Erick does not understand or ignores HOW the Dems cheated to Winn in 2020. Trump would have won had laws been followed, but we know many Republicans abdicated their responsibilities all in the name of COVID. The Dems play for keeps, they won by cheating, bending and ignoring laws. Elected Republicans failed to provide support for Trump on the legal side of the isle, and we all know Republicans never fight. Trump, for all his flaws, is a fighter, and has massive distrust, who can blame him. I did not vote in the runoff elections, my life has not changed much since the Dem shift, that’s an indictment of the Republicans past performance.

Well, you are totally correct about the ineffectiveness of elected Republicans. But my family's life has changed very much since Democratic 'wokeness' has reared its ugly head and we lost those two Senate seats in GA. I have a son and family who live in Buckhead and they live in total fear that they could be walking in their neighborhood and be shot. But it is not just how all this affects us, but the whole country. Your statement that 'Republicans never fight' is EXACTLY why I loved Trump, warts and all. Good job!

Well said. Let’s get back to Jesus Christ and Him crucified. All the rest is noise. The rub is we have to walk the walk of a dedicated Christian and not just talk about it. Not perform, but BE.

You have wisdom. That’s why I pay to read your words. I hope you and your family have a full measure of grace dumped in your lap today. Isn’t the love of Jesus something wonderful?

Probably not worth it, and there will likely be figurative stones cast at me for this. Nevertheless…

I take my faith seriously. I also try to be objective about it. One of the biggest (if not the biggest!) mistakes I believe the Church has made over the years was putting chapter and verse numbers in the Bible. One sinner’s opinion, but I believe the after effects of that decision have caused more of the “my truth, your truth” post-modern conundrum than any faddish critical epistemological/anthropological/etc. theory. And that has established an erroneous first order issue among conservative Protestants.

Cast away, my friends.
