I’m out today on family vacation but will be filling in for Ben Shapiro tonight on radio. In the meantime, I think you need to review this most egregious story.
Politico has taken it upon itself to reveal a sexual assault of a victim who did not want her sexual assault revealed and only did so because the victim is a Republican candidate for Congress in a Democratic district who has gained traction.
Adam Wren, the Politico reporter, claims he obtained the documents via a Freedom of Information Act Request.
In a statement to Fox News, the victim, Jennifer-Ruth Green, said:
"I'm surprised because Adam Wren spent time in this article focusing on every single detail down to the skirt I was wearing, down to the color of the skirt I was wearing, down to every single knob I touched, all of those things, but yet he writes clinically about one of the worst days of my life," Green added. "He has no idea the concept of being forced to be in a four by four, round circular area, 30 feet in the ground in a tower where you only have windows and a 30-foot drop on the other side, 30-foot drop to escape somebody who was blocking your path [with] somebody who has a clear intent with a weapon in hand, who is focused on trying to take advantage of you, and you're able to escape that with minimal physical harm. And he wants to reduce that to 50 characters."
Green’s team believes Democrat Congressman Mrvan’s team was shopping the story for a smear job on Green and Politico obliged, using the sexual assault as part of a larger story questioning Green’s military background.
Politico has increasingly operated as a house organ of the Democratic Party and keeps stooping to new lows.
Stacey Abrams’ Sacriligeous Tweet
For someone whose father is a minister, Stacey Abrams should have known not to do this or have anyone on her campaign do it. That she decided to alienate Christians and, in particular, Catholics explains everything wrong with her campaign and why she will lose.
I've banned Kev_WDE who seems only to want to attack commenters and troll the comments.
I was deployed with Jennifer-Ruth Green in Iraq, and this smear piece by Politico is utter BS as is any assertion that she was unprofessional or didn’t meet standards. I didn’t know about this particular incident, neither did I have a similar experience, but I’m also not shocked. Deployed women attracted attention just by being there. I did not look particularly sexy (it’s hard to look appealing in the Air Force uniform when you’re sweating like a pig and have Roseanne Rosannadanna hair), and I was constantly hit on by Ugandan and Peruvian gate guards (one guy was extremely pushy). One Iraqi Lt Col asked if I wanted to go back to Tikrit with him.
The fact that the party that claims to represent women’s interests and says #believeallwomen would use a sexual assault against a female candidate against her in an 11th hour smear tactic is a sign of desperation. I hope Mrvan’s campaign goes down in flames and is over in a way nothing has ever been over before.
