Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of Donald Trump is a legal venture so misguided that no other Democratic state or federal prosecutor was willing to join him. While we can quibble over the details, there is a spectrum to the legitimacy of the allegations in the documents case in Florida and the RICO case in Georgia. In New York, there’s simply no legal basis. As a former elections lawyer, let me explain:
