When a football team has three losing seasons, particularly seasons when everyone expects them to win, you fire the coach. In a sane world, keeping Ronna McDaniel in charge of the RNC should be inconceivable after three straight electoral defeats. But the RNC committeemen are signaling they want to keep her on. Unless the donors whose money has been wasted are willing to stand up and clearly say this is unacceptable, the three-time losing RNC Chair will get to see the GOP through another cycle. Just like Trump is ultimately responsible for his staff's failures, the RNC’s leader must ultimately be responsible for the party’s failures. That the committee members do not get that suggests there are greater systemic problems that only a donor revolt will solve.
