Thanks for posting the names of our fellow, fallen Americans.

Last fall my wife and I went to the 9-11 museum. It was a very moving experience. Seeing all the names in your column took me back to the museum, September 11, 2001, and a united solum country. While paying respect today to all the innocent people who lost their lives, I am looking forward to participating in “The Return” rally on September 26th to bring a united America back to God.

Life is tragic, but beneath the rubble is a precious legacy of human valor, accompanied by profound sacrifice. Beyond the sacrifice is our Creator whose purposes are not defeated by terror and destruction. Ultimately, He will overcome the destructive intent and tactics of our ancient nemesis. Wonder of wonders: that overcoming is accomplished by the most profound sacrifice of all: nail-scarred hands and feet that soon resurrected, manifesting victory over the heaped-up detritus of our depravity. That Calvary event was the 9/11 wake-up of our entire human history.

From one nail-scarred hand to the other--that's how far the east is from the west. That's how far jihad is from saving grace.

The individual. The families and friends connected to them. May we never forget.

Let’s hope we unite again before another tragedy of this proportion occurs!
