To me, the question shouldn't be,"Did Rona McDaniel do the best with what she had?" The question shoukd be, "Is there somone who could have done better?" I think so.

Considering how close he came in NY, and how many blue seats he helped turn red, I think Lee Zeldin would be a great RNC chair moving forward. It's a shame he took himself out of the running. Unfortunately, Rona has an aura of failure around her that could deter attracting the quality candidates the GOP needs in 2024.

And why is Rick Scott still running ads? Talk about an aura of failure.

I agree with you, Erick. I want to say it's really frustration for us Georgians to be dealing with someone in our state legislature who appears to be so detached from conservative issues and would like to get the guy out. What can we do about it? He appears to have too much power for us to get rid of him.

Republicans have been losing Congressional elections (including November's huge underperformance and the loss of more than 20 seats in the House elections of 2016) since their association with and support for Donald Trump. Ronna couldn't help that, apart from her own bowing in deference to the man way too often and way too much. It does not help a GOP candidate to be aligned in spirit with a thoroughly obnoxious individual, who is now considered distasteful by more than half of the voting public. Trump was an anchor around Ronna's and his endorsed GOP candidates' necks, and that anchor is getting more ponderous with time and each selfish, childish outburst.

I appreciate a person who can admit to being wrong. Can you imagine what the last couple of years might have looked like if Fauci had done the same?

Nicely done. Fairly said.

I noticed Harmeet Dhillon was not mentioned. Is she just a Trump hack? I am not that familiar with her.

To me Ronna seems like an establishment fixture. I am no longer a Trump supporter, but I am sick of the establishment. Mitch McConnell should go ahead and switch to the democrat party.

"Rethinking Ronna." My brain saw 'rona. Palm smack to the forehead.

Glad I'm not the only one who did that...

I too have been wondering about the RNC leadership and your review has provided some insights. In support of Ronna, I thought she ran one the best presidential conventions the Republicans ever had. The message was all inclusive and welcoming.

Jokes aside. The obvious thing is that the Republican leadership is rudderless and without strong conservative voices. Trump may be a brash blow hard but his words about being a patriotic American are true.

Look at the fight for McCarthy. It was good fight but he’s still in charge. And we still haven’t gotten half the reforms and bills we want to push through.

Truth. Losing is losing. If trump is to be held responsible for the midterms lack of performance. Then why are t some of the GOP leadership?

I’m still not fond of her. Seeing her on the news channels she’s been an apologist for Trump.

“ RGA, the NRSC, and NRCC, not to mention the various groups like the RSLC that focus on the state legislatures and RAGA”….

“Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put on K.P.“

There be allot of fancy acronyms there. We be but humble voters. Mind spelling that out for us?

I thought for a minute there he had Sesame Street on in the background, brought to us today by the entire alphabet.

Why republicans keep losing. They want to keep trying the same thing over and over and over.
