Earlier today I put a rather harsh comment on this site. I became depressed and angry after reading my Congressman's call for ending the filibuster to pass the "Abortion on Demand Act," or whatever its name is. I fear that if and when Roe is repealed, we will have more riots in the cities, or worse still, that one of the pro-Life justices will change his/her mind before June, Yes, I consider moving out of the city of Philadelphia, but this is where the people are.

Should I call my Congressman's office and ask the staff person, "Are you for killing all black children, or just the ones in the womb?" Or I might tell my local NPR affiliate, "You have blood on your hands; the rising murder rate, especially among the young in our city, is, I believe, linked to the pro-death policies of the Biden administration." I don't know that so doing would serve any good purpose, so am trying, by God's grace, to be calm.

I'm not going to comment on the draft decision. Rather I say that the fact a SCOTUS decision was leaked is more evidence that society is devolving into tribalism. Now we see that tribalism trumps respect for the nations supreme court of justice. How far must we fall before civility can return?

I fully expect the leaker to be declared a whistle-blower, heralded throughout the media, and the dems to set up hearings in the house to throw a fit at how deranged the conservative members of the court are.

The Left will be doing irreparable damage to themselves if they allow this person to be declared a "whistleblower." That, like Erick's point that doing away with the filibuster ultimately led to this will ultimately harm the Left.

We can only hope that would be the end result.

I have shared before, how I had a coat hanger abortion in 1982 at Planned Parenthood in Charlotte NC. Abortion harms women. Abortion harmed me and it is something you never get over. My son would have been 40 this year. What a loss. What grief. Don't express your sorrow or whatever. I have spent 40 years being sorry. It will be alright. If it has to be, take it back to the states. Let there be killing fields and zones in America where the unborn can be dumped. In the meantime, I will continue my atonement by treating women whom abortion has harmed and helping them choose life.

My wife had an abortion when she was going to college in NYC as a teenager. That is why she was so active with the Pregnancy Center that I wrote about. Blessings for you and give you the peace only He can give.

Bless you for your vulnerability and work with women who need empathy from someone who has walked that path.

Great article once again! But this college educated suburban white woman DOESN'T support Biden and is pro-life! I know quite a few of us! Maybe more will join us as the Democrats go hysterical over this and show how wrong they are on this issue?

Is this the catalist for Breyer's decision to retire now? Biden gets to nominate, but a Republican Senate will get to confirm.

If we thought the left went into histrionics over Elon Musk / Twitter / free speech, just wait till this gains traction today. Although it disgusts me beyond measure, I'm sure the leaker will receive a penalty commensurate with such an egregious breach...just like Hillary did for her private email server.

Riot Season has started kicking off in the Riot Capital, Portland, Oregon. It is no coincidence that Riot Season follows the election cycle. This may become the focal point for the riots leading up to the election, which will only fuel the red wave coming. You are 100% correct that this is the right decision. Abortion is under the X Amendment and should never have become a federal decision. This will now shine the light of discover on all those RINOs who talk conservative on abortion during primaries and election cycles but fail to defund Planned Parenthood once in office. Let the scrambling and dancing begin. I can hear the Fat Lady warming up in the wings getting ready to sing the end of their tenure in office. Good.

"And, in the event I am wrong and this fundamentally upends the election, so what? It is the right decision." This is one of the most important statements you have recently made. Integrity is not a soda brand, a movie title or any other droll device; it's a character trait. In our current culture, this has been lost. Thanks Erick!

Life over politics--always.

Always life. It's too easy to lose sight of this. Without life, what is really the value of politics? Thank you for this Stephanie!

Another excellent article that I really appreciate so much. My wife of many years volunteered at the Pregnancy Center for over 15hrs/week for over 13 years when she went home to be with the Lord. I also was on the board of directors all those years plus one. She helped it grow from a budget of about $65,000/year to well over $350,000/year and helped get 4 more programs going. We were mostly retired and it was a wonderful place for us to be. I also prayed and ask the Lord why did he take her so early as she was only 57. On the seventh night at 7 o'clock, the room was filled with light so bright I could not see and I closed my eyes and heard this voice. "She has finished her race and she has finished it well. Now she is enjoying the fruit that she has laid up in heaven. Now you go out and finish your race and I will give you peace from this day forward". The light went out and I opened my eyes and as I sat there, I started to have complete peace and have ever since that. That was 21 years ago this past April 13. Our daughters are supporting Pregnancy Centers today where they live. I do not share this a lot but with your article today, I just had to as Pregnancy Centers are so important for ALL these young girls but also we had a program for the boys and young men that got girls pregnant.

Blessings for you Brother in the Lord and your family.

And the folks that are ok with this leak are the same that decry Jan 6 as insurrection. Forget the means justify the ends, we are full on the means are justified if my position is supported by the means. It is the liberal progressives that brought us here, it is the alt right and Donald Trump that use the left's tactics dragging us further down the rabbit hole. If institutions are not above partisan public opinion, if they do not have an objective rudder, then we are in fact in a state of anarchy. This is not "democracy" majority rules, this is which ever minority has the best intimidation and violence campaign to get what they want, to force obedience, to impose their individuality over individualism.

This is why people look at SCOTUS and see a political agenda when they should see blind justice interpreting the Constitution in an impartial way. They should ferret out whoever leaked this, publicly pillory them, and make sure their law career is over. Whoever did this violated a trust that should not again be given them.

If the decision is anything different from the leaked document, yes, SCOTUS will look political.

Yes, the fool that did this has done as much damage to the U.S. as John Walker. But look at the precedence of Gen. Mark Milley, his story is fabricated, but praised by the left. Vigilantes are only necessary if you believe the system has failed; the position of the left for a long time, and joined by a growing number on the right.
