This is one of the saddest & most horrifying things I’ve read about the storm…those poor people who could’ve & should’ve been saved😭😡

Thank you, once again, Erick, for telling it like it is. There is too much crazy and too much silence going around out there.

My heart breaks for those that desperately waited for help in vain, while our President was dusting the sand off his feet and trying to get his act together.

Thank you to all the heroes out there that were searching and finding people still alive, hurting, buried, without waiting for permission to do so.

And where was our vice president during all this?

The media reminds me of Kevin Bacon at the end of Animal House screaming “All is well!” while chaos reigns supreme all around him. Biden is barely alive and not really there but All is well! according to the press.

Thoroughly disgusted-- Democrats are americans as well and I think there are many of them that are disgusted as well with the media and Washington- Good thing God is in charge as they will all have to answer to him before all is said and done!

Hurricane Milton should make landfall in FL in a few days. FL is managed by "America's Governor ", Ron DeSantis, who has repeatedly shown the nation that the feds are a dangerous laughingstock. Thus I await another delayed and bungled federal response to Milton.

A lot of these people might vote for Trump.

Thank you Erick. The 5 day timeline should be recognized and published in every form of media. I pray that local news outlets are keeping the rescue efforts and the truth about aid and support in the forefront. There is almost no coverage about all the local efforts throughout the southeast that are collecting supplies and transporting to WNC and other areas. We hardly hear anything about Augusta and the farmland in south GA. Thankfully neighbors still believe in helping neighbors, no matter the distance.

I am an always disappointed when the general public believes the military is not doing enough. That's not because they aren't ready, it's because they haven't received orders to go. And we all know those orders come from the top. The 101st at Ft. Campbell maintains a great FB presence, updating followers and the public on the many ways they serve our country. On September 29, the Sustainment Brigade "Lifeliners" of the 101st posted on their FB page that they" were preparing to provide vital support and recovery to the affected areas in WNC "if called upon". They were ready, but they weren't called in until yesterday. Yesterday and today, you can see Chinooks, Blackhawks and troops with heavy equipment on the ground and heading out to do the things they know how to do so well. And all the cheers to the 82nd as well. Go Army! Boots on the ground, helping Americans in times of need.

They just need to be let loose to do what they do best. Proud of our military servicemen and women.

I appreciate your take but I get weary of your always back and forth of saying "don't believe this" and in the next sentence, "it did happen here and here," over and over. Like pick a theme and go with it, or group them better.

Isn't it tragic we have laws and bureaucrats hindering folks from following the second greatest commandment, "Love your neighbor as yourself"?

Yes Erick, you did another excellent job of pointing out some of the real things this Nation is going through and doing to it's self by allowing the demoflats to be in power as much as they have since the days of obama. I have another place I get good information and I have put his latest interview below

https://usawatchdog.com/world-at-war-with-criminals-controlling-weather-dane-wigington/

This will really add to your info for your readers of some of the other stuff going on in this Nation today, and of the ONE WORLD GOV. that is working to get rid of a LOT of people in the USA.

Blessings to you and your family.

4 or more years after Katrina, we were on a flight and got to chatting with a lady that sold the trailers purchased by our government for the Katrina victims. She said there were thousands manufactured, literally parked and rotting in a Louisiana field, that were never needed. Didn’t fact check it but I’ve always considered it true. No one realizes the unbelievable magnitude of tax dollars being spent and the casual flippancy with which they are being thrown about. Someone was paid by our government to make those trailers. And someone reaped a nice return though they were never used. We’re looking at a lot of trees without seeing the huge forest!

The federal response should be under the control of local officials. They know the people, the land and how to make things right.

Black leaders in the 19th century talked about “race hustlers” and nothing has changed. They are just for their tribe. They will have a rude awakening on Judgement Day. Jesus died to free us all.

I agree, and while it's true the feds have done a horrible job so far, why are we not hearing about the state govt responses in NC, SC, and TN? Cannot the governor of NC activity the Natl Guard there? I've only heard about FL sending its Guard up to NC.
