As a pastor I actually desire more influence--but I have all the influence God intends me to have for now. You, however, have huge amounts of influence given to you by God's grace. I actually have some pastor friends who are uncomfortable with some of your references and embrace of breweries, etc (I'm good bro--even the breweries!), but you have been given the ability to appeal to those whom I would never have the opportunity--precisely because I am a "pastor-dude." Keep up the good work and I am praying for you, your wife, your work and your family!

Thanks so much. And yes, I get the emails from some about the breweries. LOL. Thanks.

I think Easter is probably pushing it for people to gather together in physical church gatherings, except for small churches in very low risk areas - of which there are some. But Trump and Dr. Fauci and the other Coronavirus task force members are all in agreement that the goal of their social-distancing policy is to stop the spread of the Corona virus so that low-risk areas of the country can get back to work someday relatively soon. The first Pentecost celebration gave the Nation of Israel hope of escaping from the bondage of slavery in Egypt, and the Christian celebration of Easter gives all believers the hope of escaping from the bondage of sin. Trump's hope of a day when people can return to church to rejoice in escaping the bondage of Corona quarantines may not be on this Easter Sunday. But there is reason to hope that such a day will soon be here for the least impacted parts of the US.

Thanks for reminding everyone of the good news of Christ. Prayer and focusing on Him is getting me thru this since I live alone. It's been really hard not having my church open and I miss my Sunday school class of 5 and 6 year olds. I pray everyday this virus leaves us so I can hug my students and friends again!

I'm not a believer but, you are right that there is good news. I've seen and heard (of) people being remarkably generous, kind and compassionate. Little gestures - home blackboards on easels outside houses with messages of kindness and encouragement, people willingly forgoing the 'two-limit' items to give one of their allowance to a fellow shopper. Neighbors reconnecting (from a distance) with their community on daily walks. The air over China appears clearer than ever and the water in the canals in Venice are nearly transparent. Mankind can be unfathomably horrible but we can also be incredibly kind and humane. I am enjoying your posts. Thank you.
