"By midnight, as this reality settles in, the media and Democrats will realize their January 6th and Donald Trump hysteria and screams of racism and various phobias will not have impacted Americans. They will then do what the press and progressives do best — blame the American people."

This one aged quite well, Erick.

The only question left now may be, “Will Youngkin’s margin be outside the margins of vote fraud?” We know that if McAuliffe loses, the Great American Leftmedia will amplify Democrats’ claims of cheating, even though they will resemble Robert Shaw’s character in “The Sting” asking if he was supposed to accuse Paul Newman’s of cheating better than him. But, will Youngkin have any coattails for other statewide races and legislative ones?

The New Jersey governor’s race is also much closer than it has any right to be, so we’ll have to keep an eye on that one as well. We’ll soon know if the left’s chickens are coming home to roost.

Let's Go Glenn Youngkin! No euphemism here as I'm pulling for him, and actually contributed a little to his campaign. The corporate office of the company I work for is in Richmond, VA, and I believe Youngkin will not only be better for school children in VA, but I believe he would also be better for businesses. When visiting VA recently on business I picked up a Youngkin for Governor hat. I have been warned the hat is a, "Racist dog whistle." Now, let's not be fooled, I don't believe there are many politicians left who are working for the best interests of the people. Most are in it for themselves. I have voted for a very long time for the candidates I believe are the "lessor of two bad choices." I didn't vote for Hillary OR Trump in 2016, but recognized, as did you Erick, that DJT may have been better, based on what he was doing than Joe Biden. I say all this to strongly ENCOURAGE ALL AMERICAN LOVING PEOPLE TO VOTE for candidates who are most likely to support The U.S. Constitution and freedom LOVING Americans. I also hope people see that it appears painfully obvious DJT may not care if what he's doing burns the GOP down. It's bizarre some of the things he's doing that undermine conservative candidates. Please consider The Constitution every time you exercise the right to vote. Just look at Nicaragua as an example of what can happen if we don't.

T-Mac and the Dems have always considered the issue of 'Education" to be whatever the teacher unions tell them it is. I hope and pray the ticked off parents will remind him/them its whatever THEY say it is and T-Mac and Teri Weingarten can (in the words of Neal Boortz) "go pound sand.

I hope to watch the MSM (and especially msnbc) devolve into a total state of apoplexy tonight when the Braves win the World Series and thousands of fans doing the Tomahawk Chop fill the streets of Atlanta!

I viewed the NPR/PBS Marist Poll results, and what is astounding is that a full 85% of Democrats and 70% of Blacks approve of Biden's job performance, which seems to indicate that these voters have extremely low expectations, are completely partisan, or are delusional. All I can say is, Let's Go Brandon, and Let's Go Braves!!!

NPR/PBS is hardly a poll worth looking at. You might as well be viewing a NRA poll. Biden has been a disaster but I don't regret my vote. He was the 2nd worst candidate in the race.

But at least those % are down from the usual 95%

Erick Erickson plays the race card. “Virginia needs to get rid of white teachers in public schools.” Nice twist on what he really said. Maybe you think there’s a logical inference but you would be wrong. (There’s attrition and growth.) You’re such a liar.

“We’ve got to diversify our teacher base here in Virginia,” he told supporters. “Fifty percent of students at Virginia schools — K-12 — 50 percent are students of color, and yet 80 percent of the teachers are white. We all know what we have to do in a school to make everybody feel comfortable in school...”

“So, here’s what I’m going to do. We’ll be the first state in America — if you’ll teach for five years here in Virginia in a high-demand area, whether that be geographic or course work, we will pay room, board, tuition, at any college, any university, any HBCU [historically black colleges and universities] here in the commonwealth of Virginia.”

You can always tell when a Democrat steps in some s#!+ because the usual suspects always come out to say "That's not what he meant." McAuliffe could very well have made his offer of free college for teachers simply based on schools that have difficulty hiring sufficient staff but he made it explicitly based on the race. Saying your going to do it by attrition and growth don't matter. The only way you can reduce the *percentage* of white teachers is *not hiring* qualified whites for teaching positions.

I think you mean, 'doesn't' matter.

McAuliffe said that there is too high of percentage of white teachers in VA. The only way to change the percentages idms to reduce the number of white teachers and increase the number of non-white trachers.

MxAuliffe is the one playing the race card.

Expand full comment

You're factually incorrect. But, maybe you think 80% white is the right number. Is that it?

Expand full comment

McAuliffe is the one arguing percentages. I dont care what the % is as long as the teachers are the best qualified they can find.

But to not hire someone in the future simply because they're white, or to hire someone simply because they're not white - regardless of their qualifications - thats the very definition of discrimination.

Expand full comment

I guess you think the teachers in VA got up to 80% white because they were all more qualified? Oh but, you don't allow percentages, sorry about that.

Convenient that you now only want to talk about hiring in the future. If it's so easy for you to define discrimination, how do you think the current state got to 80% white without it? C'mon man.

You're projecting, Rich.

“January 6th…hysteria”? So, now you’re part of the “it really wasn’t that bad” gang? Tell that to the injured officers. I guess you’re also part of the “lBsck [some of] the Blue!” crowd, too.

Actually, I've been really consistent I think January 6th was a very big deal and very bad. But I also think the Democrats and media are working over time to overplay even that as a way to turn voters away from any Republican candidate, even one as innocuous as Youngkin.

Nah, not so bad. Just tourists. Oh but wait, wasn’t there something important happening in the capital that day?

And you think the Dems are going overboard? You think we shouldn’t be having a congressional hearing to get to the bottom of it? You think we shouldn’t be investigating members of Congress who were prepping for the big day?

I thought you had. Your “hysteria” comment made me wonder, though. Thanks for clarifying.

Your points are well founded. Most Americans are not fire breathing zealots and would like to expend their energies building rewarding lives for themselves and their communities. Most Americans are suspicious of agenda laden programs designed to move them into accepting ever more central control. The caveat is that Trumpism actually did try to unconstitutionally steal an election with lies so outrageous they belong in a Twilight Zone movie. Instead of dialing down they are ramping up and conducting a primary purge of the few Republicans who had enough courage and character to speak truth to the lies, holding acceptance of DRT's fantasy world as the price of admission to play on the GOP team. Youngkin has obviously tried his best to circumnavigate this kerfuffle and the education overreach of the left has given him a gift horse so to speak. But in several places truly bad people who are Trump endorsed are vying for the GOP nomination for House and Senate seats and no-one cares. The truth is that this nation is on the cusp of unravelling unless the normal people I mentioned earlier have an epiphany , rise up and say enough, kicking the extremists of the far left and populist right to the curb. My whole point is that the overreaches of the secular left would be more easily seen and reacted against if it weren't for the overreaches of Trumpism. Therefore , to me, the jury is out on 2022 even if Youngkin wins, and I hope that he does.

Wishful thinking. The woke/ democrat progressives will kill the opportunities for democrat party thinking they need to destroy anything GOP and moderate democrats that don't fall in line. The GOP has it's issues but nothing like this. Let's go Brandon
