President Biden is going to force every American taxpayer to pay off $10,000 of student debt for individuals making less than $125,000.00 a year or $250,000.00 for couples. The upfront cost of this debt transfer from private citizens to the taxpayer will exceed all the inflationary reductions made in the Inflation Reduction Act. It will not only make inflation worse but will inflate college prices by providing a disincentive for colleges to rein in their tuition increases. President Obama’s own economic advisor noted on social media that the plan will increase inflation by at least a quarter percent. The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School estimates the plan will cost each taxpayer in America $2100, and the full cost will be $300 billion.
If something is not done soon when the Republicans take back power they will spend all the time they are in office putting every thing back together. By that time voters will forget why they voted Republican to begin with! I am 75 years old this has been the way it has been my whole life.

My thanks to Erick for making it very easy for all fair minded Americans, who object to the Biden foolish college loan bailout plan, to contact their reps in congress expressing their displeasure.
The last time I emailed my so-called "representative" in Washington and asked him to oppose a bill, I received an email back from him thanking me for my "support" of the bill I had asked him to oppose, with a long explanation of why anyone who opposed the bill was ignorant and/or evil.
The current problem is only exacerbated by this action. These colleges and universities have zero skin in the game and no incentive to either reduce tuition or the prospects for success in a multitude of fields. They must be sharing in the burden of funding any loans and any corresponding forgiveness.
Schools don’t want to be "Investing" in their students' success? If they want to give their money away based upon intersectionality vs. merit? their endowments not getting repaid will be their reward.
I emailed my rep and senators. Since they are all Democrats, it will be ignored. This is thier vote buying scheme. I can only hope that voters will not forget this and stay engaged in the election. Just my hope.
