I watched Larry Kudlow and later Rachel Campos-Duffy cover this story, but they did not have this information as presented in this article. I would like Erick to forward this to the Fox News host so they can answer the DeSantis critics with better information and tell the true story.

This is just well-written and succinctly put. You took their argument, turned it on its head, and clearly--in the whole process--defined what a Straw Man Argumentation is without stating "this is what it is." Very, very well done!

I guess that’s the other thing. I think it’s at least debatable whether you have any influence over the hard core Trump supporters. They definitely consider you the enemy. Problem for you is that crowd seems to be growing. So you become a proving ground for the hypocrisy of Trump haters. This country is in sad shape. More and more people feel Trump is the best hope for turning it around. You have admitted ( no real choice ) that most of what Trump did in office was good. The fact that he can’t run again is a bonus- not at all a bad thing. You do know that God used a Christian killer to write most of the New Testament- right? Actually, God ONLY uses imperfect people to do his bidding.

Oh, and another reason I don’t mine paying for now, I get to tell you and your readers what I think about what you say.

My first thought when hearing this story was, “Where are they going to go instead? A blue state with higher taxes?”. I think Erick nailed it. It was a business decision to pull back & save money. They try to distract from their financial woes by pretending it’s about DeSantis.

The question that must be answered is why should anyone take you seriously when you complain about the NYT’s slanting the truth to favor their agenda when you do the same at every opportunity to disparage Trump. Hilarious…

The corporate media are making it quite clear who they want “Biden” to run against next year, and he doesn’t have an Italian sounding name.

Ever since Trump came down that escalator in June of 2015, the media has tried to gaslight us all. There's freedom of the press, then there's criminal malfeasance in journalism...

We live in a narrative based world because the media are all controlled by corporations and billionaires that have an agenda for the US. I am going to repeat a comment I posted earlier for another article. Any candidate that has an "America First" platform or is considered "nationalist" will have the same "Deep State", media, democrat (and establishment republican), big money machine try to destroy the candidate and subsequent presidency if won. I have now realized that everything that was done to Trump was not because of his personality etc. It was due to his America First agenda. There are extremely powerful political, corporate, and donor class interests both domestically and politically that want to make the US part of a global alliance instead of having our own sovereignty and control of US interests. The push for "climate change" initiatives and an open border is all part of this effort. Global control will put a lot of money in the pockets of corporations and already rich democrats and republicans. It will hurt the working class and people like most of us that have worked hard to establish a middle-to-upper middle-class livelihood. If someone had said this to me 8 years ago, I would have called them an idiot, Qanon conspiracy freak. But the events over the past 7 years actually confirm it. Until people realize this and push back it is just a matter of time before our country is gone.

Since when have actual facts ever gotten in the way of The Message the Progressive Left of America (yes, I think I'm going to start calling them the PLA and I know who had those letters first, but it's appropriate)?

For the NY Times this storey serves two purposes,

1) act as a wing of the Democrat party to advance a false narrative and assist Democrats in the next election.

2) deflect from Biden's terrible economy, as if Disney is laying off because Florida's economy is in the tank (agreeing with Trump) and not the entire country thanks to Biden's policies.

This is also a very succinct and easily related example of why the press has no credibility, well unless you like being lied to with conviction.

This is why I say. We don’t just have a trump problem. With trump endorsed candidates losing. We have a media and voter problem. Voters who are quick to believe a lying media as exposed in this story with the media making it look like Desantis cost Florida jobs.

Whatever they have done to trump they will do to Desantis.

I really like DeSantis….think he is what we need. Erick you have to keep pounding the BS we see everyday to get the story out.

The FBI mess is so disheartening ….clearly seem to be losing our country ….where are the congressional patriots?….on both sides🤙

Agree with Jay - great insight. Very few people read a story, and I bet even your flagship station will repeat the line DeSantis destroyed 2,000 great paying jobs… There is always the story by the press and then the actual story. That’s why I pay to read you. 😀
