Our economy might be outpacing China, yay! That distracts people from the real issues of Maoist behavior by our own people: erase history, decry national pride, destroy any semblance of individualism, and spread distrust everywhere. As our society continues to divide, we have been infiltrated by millions of illegals, many of whom are military-aged males. Are they terrorists? Are they mercenaries of the UN/WHO/WEF sent to widen the gap in our society? The upside I see is that Americans who see what is going on have enough money to support their families while planning some sort of defense against an unknown and unseen enemy. "I can feel it coming in the air at night...and I've been waiting for this moment...but I don't know if you know who I am..." As soon as we know who this enemy really is, we the people will prevail.

Michelle Obama will be replacing Joe Biden yet she is just as worthless

I am retired from what was my real job in the environmental consulting world. Early last year I took on an unexpected position at a meat market in semi rural Georgia. The price of our products have risen and customers (many seniors) take advantage of any sales we have. During the holidays they splurge. But they only have so much to spend in a week or month. We see the economy still keeping people from spending on things they might like or need.

I saw a story yesterday about a CBS Sunday morning news guy interviewed people leaving a grocery store in New Hampshire this week, and none of them were feeling good about the economy, even after the reporter told them it was good. Normally I don't look at prices but today I went to the grocery store and really starting looking at prices. Wish I hadn't done that. I don't usually buy bacon but I wanted some and was shocked to see the price!

"And accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed." NOTHING would hammer home the accuracy of that phrase from the Declaration of Independence than four more years of Biden.

But what has this “good” growth cost us? The strongest jobs growth is in government, which is stimulative to demand, the deficit has exploded which too is stimulative, and prices are increasing at only 3% on a base that has risen 20% in the last two plus years, the wizards who brought us modern monetary theory may think this is sustainable, but we the people know otherwise.

"The data suggests wages are starting to outpace inflation, which means that should change, too."

I would like to know what data they are talking about because My report, its not doing that at all.

Every time my company decides to give a compensation adjustment for inflation, its outpaced within a few weeks.

I have a QT index of my own. That is, how much it costs for me to walk into QT and by the normal Coffee and a hotdog. It has gone from 4.99 not even two years ago to recently being $8 and even that is now unaffordable.

I am sorry Erick but this is where I am going to have to call BS on you and say it is impossible to accept good news when it isn't good news. And being able to outpace China is not necessarily a linchpin for success.

The economy is absolute garbage for those making 320k or less.

It was government spending that spurred that growth. Smoke and mirrors.

The farm where I have bought raw milk and beef for many years has had to cut customers because one of them had to go back to work. And that was after they had to raise prices on the milk. Had to stop selling beef altogether. The farm where I bought my pork shut down completely. Hay and feed prices skyrocketed. If they raise prices more, the customers go away because they can't afford it either. Feed for my chickens is way up. A major aluminum plant in SE Missouri, my state, is shutting down. Apparently one of the last ones in the country. Can't afford to comply with regulations imposed partly being the reason. The "economy" may be doing better, but a lot of people are not. However, if people read stuff like this about the economy, they very well may choose a suicide vote rather than vote for Trump.

Hunting used to be an affordable way to put healthy meat on the table. In the last few years, deer processing has gone from $60 to $120; that's not counting the hunting permit. My husband got me a deer (he can't eat meal because of alpha-gal syndrome) and asked if I wanted a second one. I asked, "Can we afford it?!"

Mr. Erickson, I need to apologize for sounding like Wendy Whiner. Yes you do bring good news to some. Thank you for that. But dang, have you bought a bag of dog food lately. lol

True. Yet we still live in America, the last best hope on earth. As bad as things are, they are worse for most of the world. I wake up every morning and thank God I was born in this country, that I have another day of life and my basic needs met, that my kids are healthy and happy, and that I know Jesus.

Good News? from left leaning Bloomberg and Cornell University and data coming from the US Government. When did we start trusting the government? "China probably currently represents the broadest, most active, and persistent cyber espionage threat to U.S." from National Intelligence, they are buying up our farmland by military installations, forming an alliance with Russia and Iran, buying up American companies who handle our food source, spy on us, infiltrate our colleges, millions of dollars donated to U. Penn Biden Center and let's not forget about the NEW virus that will hit right before the election. People who HATE Trump tell us we have nothing to worry about, but that TRUMP should be worried. Our biggest threat is CHINA and the people who will sugar coat anything to turn us against him - NOT TRUMP.

Erick, our economy has always been resilient, often times IN SPITE of what our policy makers inflict upon it. My concern is this administration (and, the public, based on "messaging") will take the wrong lessons from this ... thinking their "heavy hand" (regulations, stifling the energy sector, etc.) are still good things and helping with the recovery ... when in fact, we'd take off even higher if those impediments were lifted. THAT's the "differentiating" message the Republicans need to address ... "finally, good news ... should have happened sooner, but glad to see it ... could be way, WAY better and here's why ... we prefer to bet ON the American people, not against them"

Everything I buy cost me more than it did 4 years ago when the loonies get there way I will get to freeze in the dark because I can’t afford electricity or food and my EV batteries no longer work . Now the good news we all get to help pay off the Government debt because the printing presses are still working

We're better than China; capitalism works, the state monopoly (even combined with some capitalism) does not. They have some serious problems. But good macro economic news comes in spite of, not because of, Biden and the Dems. We still have inflation and a massive national debt.

And 22.9% of our current national debt was incurred during Trump's four years in office. When Trump left office, that number was 28%.

Expand full comment

Yes. Nobody cares about the debt and deficit. Today's version of "conservatives" only care about it when a Democrat is in office. But it's not so much these moron politicians as those of us who keep electing them.

It makes me want to move to Thomas Massie's district just so I can finally vote for a real conservative!

And the National debt???????????? Biden's ridiculous schemes to regulate what we have and what we don't have is what worries me. I have a hobby farm. The prices that I have to pay for hay, feed and bedding are killing me and 99% of that is because of the price of fuel and regulation. It is way more expensive to even plant a garden. I can't even imagine trying to be a rancher or farmer now. Yes everyone will be glowing about the good news of Bidenomics, well it's killing me. I'm done now.

We feed the deer outside our log cabin in the woods. When we moved in ten years ago, corn was $7/bag. Now it's $14. This is a luxury for us. I can't imagine what buying feed is doing to those for whom it's a necessity.

I also like to feed the deer and the birds when the snow gets deep. Bird seed for 50# bag went from 13$ to 25$. It's all about the price of fuel
