Erick, I am not disputing your argument. However, you are very well aware that over 90% of abortions are done 1st trimester, and a majority of these are done medically. So, no cracking skulls and sucking brains. Yes, the fetus or embryos still die. But it’s beneath you to sensationalize it. I still love you, and your argument is sound. I wish you Shalom.

Excellent Erick! If only their eyes would be opened to the truth about this. They are all the same thing….except some things have names that are supposed to be more civilized…as they say you can’t dress up a pig and it not be a pig….nothing against the pig. Also can you send me the code for the Mannix system? I missed that today. Thank you! Please keep speaking truth!

This is good, but I am still stuck clearly seeing abortion restrictions at conception as being barbaric no more or less than is late term abortion.

At some point the growing fetus is a viable life worthy of protection. It is not worthy at conception and for at least 12 if not 15 weeks of gestation. It is also barbaric to require a woman to carry full-term in the case of rape and incest. It is creepy Handmaiden's Tail stuff, and I will never defend anyone pushing it through a political and/or judicial process to force it as a law of the land.

I will continue to support people who believe in life at conception and work to protect their own personal, family and congregation choices... just like I support people that believe a woman should have the right to chose up until birth. However, I will NOT support their attempts to lay that demand on everyone else.

Thanks Erick. However, you need to add one more point that it appears everyone is reticent to admit. Slavery was wholeheartedly supported by the Democratic Party. Their 1860 platform supported the Fugitive Slave Law and in 1864 they opposed the Emancipation Proclamation. This was not just a "southern" thing; Democrats in the north supported slavery too. The KKK was the Democratic response to reconstruction, Jim Crow laws and segregation were upheld by Democrats in the south with support of their northern comrades. Now the Democrat party wholeheartedly supports abortion. Only ONE Democrat in the House and ZERO Democrats in the Senate are pro-life.

When future generations look back at this time - if this nation survives because it cannot survive to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln - half life and half infanticide - we will look at abortion in the same manner as we did slavery. And the Democrats (if they are still around) will forget their bloody hand in all of this.

We have allowed ourselves to be distracted by issues like these while Chiana and Russian build influence, wealth, military and economic power. Reminds me, as a very senior citizen, that then Democrat President, Franklin D Roosevelt, was trying to get us to join with Great Britton against Hitler. People were saying, "That's way over there. Stay out of it." And then Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, we lost much of our Naval fleet, and we were forced to refocus. World Way 2 began shortly thereafter, and the rest is history.

Profound comparison!! Thank You for sharing this. Excellent article.

"“My” seems to reign supreme, i.e. my body, my choice, my freedom."

Except for vaccines (especially COVID 19.) Then they want to force you to get them or they'll try to ruin your life.

Heck, Bill Gates recently tweeted something about putting vaccines in food to "overcome vaccine hesitancy." These people - which are Bernie Sanders' top 1% of the top 1% will stop at nothing to control those of us they deem unworthy... which is the bottom 100% of the bottom 99.99%.

Abortion-the Fall Line between political candidates since Roe vs Wade. This did not begin, but affirmed, what is at the very heart of our demise as Americans and our politics. A culture of murder. A culture that prides itself in itself. A culture, a land, that could “repent and turn from its wicked ways” and be blessed with healing from God.

The choice is very simple, do we choose GOD and the consequences of that choice or live with the consequences of not. As for me I believe the consequences of choosing GOD is much much more tolerable.

Please let me thank Eric’s mom for making good choices on her birthday. Thank you, Eric, for writing and distilling the subject of abortion so eloquently. But the left has it right. It is about choice. Not just the woman’s choice but the choices we make as human beings. And since we live in America, the choices we make as Americans. The difference between those who wish to kill babies and those who wish to preserve life is all in the choice. One side chooses to not live with the consequences of the choices that they made along the way and while the other tries to make better choices or at the very minimum choose to live the consequences. One side chooses to view life in absolutes while the other chooses to view life as a series of challenges. One sees things as if I allow this to happen then I can’t do that. While the other sees things as if this happens it will be more challenging to do that.

We see this view manifest itself in all aspects of life. The environmentalists say if we allow the globe’s climate to change all life will stop. The other side of the argument is let’s see what challenges we will need to overcome. If my gender is male or female, then I can’t do this or that not realizing all the same real choices remain the same. There is one thing we must all realize that no one gets to live without consequences, but we must choose which consequences are more tolerable.

For years after the passage of Roe, the pro-life movement didn't really gain a lot of traction. Abortion in the first trimester, while many Christians were morally opposed to the idea, wasn't seen as "horrific" then.

It wasn't until abortion advocates started their push for abortion at any time during the pregnancy until and even during birth, along with the advances in science that allowed women to see their babies in the womb with ultrasound, that the pro-life movement really started to grow. Women who had successfully delivered their children weeks before their due date, started to realize exactly who was being aborted at 7-8 months of pregnancy, and were repulsed at the idea that an actual baby was being killed...it wasn't just a "fetus", or a "clump of cells".

As the pro-abortion movement grew louder and more extreme, the pro-life movement resisted more and more fiercely, but it was the extremism of the pro-aborts that finally pushed it over the edge.

I have said this same thing many times: abortion is the slavery of our day. And just like back then, people are missing the core issue: God determines human value, not man. People today struggle to understand how they could one day be judged just as harshly as we judge slave owners of the past, but I pray the Lord hastens the day.

He is. We are rapidly approaching those end times. THat is the good part of the story of the US today.

True, and powerfully stated. You're right. The underlying issue is the same. Thanks Eric. A few years ago i published a book titled "OMG. We Are Killing Babies. Society has two choices: The Baby Lives or the Baby Dies." I mailed a copy to all 100 Senators. Senator Harris returned her copy with a note saying she couldn't accept "gifts!" //J.R.Thompson
