Let’s pause for a moment and reflect. We have:
A former president;
A former governor and United Nations Ambassador;
Another former governor;
A current governor;
A current senator;
A current CEO and investor;
And possibly a former congressman, governor, turned Vice President of the United States
all running for the presidency from the GOP.
Two are from families of immigrants from India. One is a descendant of slaves and represents South Carolina in the United States Senate.
One is a veteran who’d be the first president since George H. W. Bush to have served active duty in a war zone.
One is a reality TV star and businessman who shocked the world by beating a Clinton for the presidency and lived to tell the tale.
I like our odds.
We’re facing a party that believes gay pornography is acceptable in elementary school libraries, The Cat in the Hat should be banned, and poor people should eat bugs and drive electric cars.
And a recession is coming.
I like our odds.
It won’t be easy. The national press corps will not be fair. The fact-checkers will lie. The cultural icons will be against us.
But moms don’t want their daughters competing against boys. Dads don’t want boys in their daughters’ bathrooms. And neither mom nor dad feels good about making their mortgage payment and putting food on the table this month. Young moms still struggle to find formula for their babies. Costs keep rising. A recession is coming. Biden is ancient and prone to dementia.
I like our odds. It won’t be easy. But it is doable. And we offer a diverse array of people committed to battling the left and big government.
Oh, and don’t look now, but “horrible news, horrible for Joe Biden.”
I listened last night to your interview with Gov. DeSantis and immediately sent him $100. I'm a blue collar 25 year Union tradesman who is sick and tired of voting against someone instead of for someone. I think either Tim Scott or Nicki Haley would make a greay V.P. and Mike Pence and Mike Pompeo should be in the administration as well as Dr. Carson.
The Democrats at this point can all go sit on a lit gas stove. God Bless their hearts!😁
The key for me is who can convince me they are the “one” without denigrating the other Republican candidates. It’s time.
