One thing you didn’t mention is our God is proving that he controls the CLIMATE and everything else. It the 27th of May with a high in the low 60’s in Savannah Yet the news media says nothing.Normally it’s so hot you could fry eggs on the sidewalk.

Thank God for his leadership. I pray that Joe wakes up because as I read Gods word it will never be this cool in Hades.

May we choose wisely and pray for a fair and honest election with no "electronic glitches."

I'm not sure I have confidence in the American voters to not be stupid. With our country going to hell in 2022 they still voted for Democrats. I know you say they decided to vote for the crazy they knew instead of steal the vote crazy. But, still, they voted for anti-America candidates and it just made me sick. At least the House is tamping down some of their insanity. Even so, NOTHING will ever be done to make the administrative state pay for their treasonous actions.

I like our odds too. Biden is the second term of Hillary Will Never Be President. Trump was the first term. Let's get back to real leadership in politics instead of irrational bulls in china shops. DeSantis 2024.

I like the odds if anyone but Trump wins the RNC nomination. Trump attracts Democrats to vote against Republicans, like flies are attracted to crap.

Sports always provide some useful insights. I follow college basketball, and every year the team with the best players (bench) provides excitement, but not always victory. We need a coach who will call the plays and make sure the team that gets beyond the early rounds(primary) is fully supported by the rest of the team. I agree that we have a great bench, but will they all rally behind the primary victor, and not destroy each other in the primary? It remains to be seen...and I agree also with Joe Hatfield in that the GOP snatches defeat from the Jaws of Victory...2022 elections are a reminder.

Great column Erick. There is one thing I would like explained to me. When and why, without mentioning the word Trump, did the Democrat Party and the media turn on America's values and the average citizen (free speech, religion, property rights and due process)?

Erick, what you say is true. However..... never underestimate the GOP's penchant for snatching defeat from the Jaws of Victory.

My wife is Indian (born in India but grew up here) and a Democrat (though I think she just thinks she’s supposed to be one as opposed to actually thinking about why she is one). She complains about Biden’s age and also doesn’t care too much for Kamala. I’m more of a Libertarian but have voted for Republicans in the last two elections as the Democrats are pretty much insane Leftists at this point (I have never voted for a Democrat anyway). When I point out to her the diversity of the Republican presidential candidates, including two of Indian descent, she pretty much just ignores what I have to say and won’t engage in any discussion about it. We also have a couple of conservative gay friends (one of whom is a rabid Trump supporter) and she will not even talk to them about it. I imagine there are a lot of people like this that don’t particularly care for Democrats but won’t even consider the other side because of blind allegiance to some narrative.

Like Trump says, the Democrats are lunatics. If the decline continues, the vote in ‘24 will be anyone BUT Biden.

Isn’t the rule that you never punch down?

I don’t understand why President Trump isn’t using his record of WINS, including all the video, to convince Republican voters.

Name calling worked the first time around, because he was a political neophyte with no record to run on, but now he has a record that he should be running on.

His social post comparing Governor DeSantis to Hitler and Satan was a bridge too far for me. This type of crap didn’t work for the last election cycle, and I don’t think it will this time either.

We are going to have a year of reality tv, on the way to a Republican candidate. The real race begins on June 1, 2024. Right now, this is all preamble.

But the pandemic taught me a lesson. Stock up the supplies. So, I have plenty of bourbon, 2 boxes of Oliva’s, and 2 cases of Orvil Redenbacher (extra butter). And this weekend I’ll be mixing up a large batch of Erick’s Peanut Butter Rice Crispy treats.

Cheers

You can feel the momentum shifting on these issues. They just go too far. Bud Light? Target? Northface has apparently joined the insanity. When brands like this take things too far, it is no longer just people who pay attention to politics. It is now crossing over into the average Americans home. If the Republicans lose, it will likely be because they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I like the field! I do like the Governor from Florida and the Senator from South Carolina! We need new blood and proven conservative leadership! We need to pull together and not destroy one another in the process toward November.

The key for me is who can convince me they are the “one” without denigrating the other Republican candidates. It’s time.

I listened last night to your interview with Gov. DeSantis and immediately sent him $100. I'm a blue collar 25 year Union tradesman who is sick and tired of voting against someone instead of for someone. I think either Tim Scott or Nicki Haley would make a greay V.P. and Mike Pence and Mike Pompeo should be in the administration as well as Dr. Carson.

The Democrats at this point can all go sit on a lit gas stove. God Bless their hearts!😁
