They closed our schools and churches while designating abortion centers, marijuana dispensaries, and liquor stores “essential services.” They said small business owners protesting to reopen their businesses were super spreaders, and you were a super bigot if you did not protest in the streets for racial justice. They scream about the fentanyl epidemic killing our kids but won’t advocate for closing the border. They screw up research on Alzheimer’s and fabricate studies to normalize transgenderism. Now, while lecturing us to lock down and stay away from grandma, they can’t bring themselves to say “stop having orgies” lest they stigmatize the gay community.
It really is time to stop trusting the public health establishment.
How could anyone ever trust their claims on vaccine integrity when they lack the integrity to speak truthfully about the spread of monkeypox and demand the necessary actions to stop its spread? They want to bar your kids from school if they don’t take the COVID vaccine with which they’ll still get COVID but could not bring themselves to cancel the kink festival in the actual epicenter of monkeypox for the nation wherein gay hedonists could actually and probably did spread monkeypox. Heck, they even screwed up vaccine distribution for monkeypox.
“If people want to have sex, they are going to have sex,” said California state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), who is involved in the city’s monkeypox response. “I know people who normally go to sex parties who will not. People will make their own decisions about their own risk levels.”
Wiener, of course, was fine with closing churches, mandating masks, and banning people from going to the beach. He was not fine with people making “their own decisions about their own risk levels” with COVID.
Not being able to abstain from sex for two weeks is a damning indictment of the social order of the left — their pleasure trumps your health and safety. We’re governed by pagans worshipping Moloch and participating in Ashtoreth’s orgies.
“San Francisco is an epicenter for the country. Thirty percent of all cases in California are in San Francisco,” said San Francisco Public Health Officer Dr. Susan Philip.
The kink festival went on as planned. Cancer treatments had to be delayed.
This is a complete collapse of public trust. There is no reason any of us should ever take our public health officials seriously again if they cannot be honest now — monkeypox is overwhelmingly spreading through gay group sex and among those who participated in it. To the extent it is now spreading outside the gay community, it is spreading from the gay community to other communities.
This is not homophobia. This is straight-up a fact. But people’s feelings now trump the facts. The public health community is more worried about the stigma related to gay sex than the stigma related to actually getting monkeypox. They’re more worried about emotions than pathogens. That monkeypox can spread in non-gay communities does not conflict with the reality that it only spread in gay communities in the United States and Europe until very recently.
This is the end result of a postmodern society where your truth trumps the actual truth, and your feelings trump rational thought.
Oh, don’t look now, but polio is spreading in New York City.
Speaking of Trump…
Former Vice President Dick Cheney says Donald Trump is the greatest threat to our republic. I respectfully disagree with a man whose whole family I adore.
I actually think bipartisan establishment lassitude toward China is a bigger threat to our republic than Trump. The whole reason we got Trump is that a large segment of the population can accurately perceive the American cultural/political elite decided our time is up and want to cash in while managing a decline in China's favor. Our socio/economic and political elite have given up on America.
The American people believe we are in a recession, so we are in a recession. Our national cultural and political leaders believe our best days are over, so they are — it's preventable and reversible, but not with a leadership that has quietly embraced the idea of China's inevitability.
The challenge of the next decade will be for those who recognize our elite are offering patriotic platitudes while practicing their Chinese kowtow to discern between the politicians who really do believe the United States can and must be the shining city on the hill lifting the torch of liberty and the politicians who say it while not really believing it.
I would start by making a list of the people who criticized Pelosi for following through with her trip to Taiwan and begin ignoring those people.
On Christian Nationalism
I don’t really know what Christian Nationalism is. It’s like pornography. We know it when we see it. A lot of people claim to embrace it, and a lot of them are just a**holes who want the Jesus who throws a punch that the social justice left wants nothing to do with in favor of the Jesus who wept. Both sides are actually idol worshippers masquerading as Christians.
To the press, Christian Nationalism is whenever a God-fearing Christian gets involved in public policy and thinks Christian values could help the nation. That’s actually Christianity despite what that Du Mez lady thinks. Really, anyone who cites that lady discredits himself. She’s got an ax to grind against orthodoxy. We should be wary of the Christians who are trying to normalize her ax-grinding.
The reality is that we will have a Christian nation on the other side of the eternal veil. Until then, we’re in a world full of sinners in a nation that embraces pluralism, making an actual Christian nation impossible.
But if every Christian seeks the welfare of the community in which they live, and every Christian tries, despite their sin, to live their whole life as a Christian and not just Sundays, we will leave this nation a better place than we found it.
I’d encourage you to read this piece by William Wolfe.
In summary, patriotism is a sentiment. Nationalism, at its most basic level, is a political ideology. Christians can and should embrace both, as long as they are defined rightly, ordered well, and they do so in a biblically-informed fashion.
That’s well said.
Put Christ first. The rest will follow. After all, we’ve already won the fight, so don’t make an idol of it culturally or otherwise. Just seek the welfare of the community in which you are in exile, and there you will find your welfare.
You can’t get much more “right on the money” than you were today, Erick.
May the Lord help us live as you have pointed out, like Christ by the grace and mercy of God.
