The real issue is that given the current global economic and geopolitical conditions, the GOP should be cruising to an easy majority in both chambers of Congress. The fact that the GOP may not be able to pick up a single seat in the Senate shows the weakness of their messaging. They have no message, no plan...being anti-woke is not enough.

The Trafalgar Group got an interesting reply to s question it asked poll respondents. The question was for which candidate they would vote; one who they personally disliked but who was more in tune with them on the issues, or the one whom they liked but was less in tune with them on the issues. 58 percent of the respondents said that they would vote for the first one. It seems that in 2022 at least, voters are more issue oriented than they are personality oriented. I suspect that is very good news indeed for Herschel Walker.

US Senator terms should not be for 6 years. 4 tops.

Bill Clinton was credibly accused of rape by multiple women, yet he was (re)elected. He lied under oath in a case brought under a law HE signed into effect yet Dems said, "everybody lies about sex" and celebrated when the Senate failed to remove him from office.

Obama sat in the church of Jeremiah Wright while he spewed racist, anti-American screed. Considering he sat in the living room of Bill Ayers - who helped set explosions at the Capital and Pentagon that killed people, seeking his blessing prior to starting his political career, that's not surprising.

Hillary lied about Benghazi, and said, "What difference, at this point, does it make?" She put national security at risk and then obstructed an investigation. And she created the "Trump/Russia collusion" hoax out of thin air.

Biden is credibly accused of using his political office to enrich himself and his family. He lies repeatedly and can't even realize that "Made in America" is three words.

Fetterman is as close to a walking Zombie as I've ever seen.

"Reverend" Warnock is running a campaign whose main thrust is, "Walker is a sinner. You shouldnt vote for him"

And yet I'm the "Deplorable" because I voted for a foul-mouthed rich guy that insults people and sends out mean Tweets? I'm the bad guy because I'll vote for Walker because he will help stand in the way of the Biden agenda that is destroying this country?

For Democrats, character only counts when they can use it against a Republican.

The heck with the Dems. I vote for policies... not people.

Let's not pretend this problem exists only on the left. Trump is an absolutely horrible person with a history of shady dealings and half of the GOP adore him. They revere him like some sort of diety.

Character does matter, but not as much as policy. And people know that to be true. And both sides will attack the other on perceived character issues.

Like I wrote... I vote for policies, not people. I will not vote for Trump in the Republican primary. But I'll vote for him in a heartbeat in November 2024.

Except many of his policies were shit too.

How did he do on reducing the deficit or the debt? How did he do on cutting spending?

I find it absolutely astonishing that the party full of people that cry about small government refuse to elect people that will actually do anything about it.

What you are really saying is you are going to vote for the candidate with the least bad policies. Sounds like a recipe for a race to the bottom

I agree that Republicans have become the party of big government/big spending while the Democrats have become the party of huge government/huge spending. Trump spent big, partially on COVID, since the government had basically told everyone to stay home.

But if a car is heading for a cliff, I'll vote for the person that'll get us there at 50 mph rather than the one that will get us there at 100 mph.

True... but hopefully we can get some different drivers between now and then. I

didn't vote for Walker in the primary. If he wins, I hope he gets primaried in in 2028. But these are the choices we have.

Since I have to choose between two not good choices, I'll choose the one that will do the least harm.

Excited and proud to vote for neither of these unserious candidates no matter how much you get on here and cry about it, Erick ❤️

Hey,here's an idea!

The Marxist/Commies want to shame people for ignoring Walker's so called scandals and vote for him on nothing more than his stance on the constitution? Then let's go with it! Let's list ALL the Marxist's on-going real scandals too!

Let's start with..Walker PAID for a lady to have an abortion? HELLO! How many abortions are democrats having each DAY? How many patriots have them? That's right..compare the 2! How about Warnock ran his wife down, stands in a pulpit and declares himself a Christian when HE SUPPORTS walker in abortions? Let's not forget Biden’s hands in CCP pockets! Walker? He says 'no' to holding hands with America's enemies! Hunter Biden is being protected by the media, but come after Walker for paying for an abortion...something the media phonies not only do..but how many of them have been arrested for molesting kids??

Get real @Stephen L! If you think Walker's any where NEAR as bad as a commie that hides under the guise of Christianity? A black man that calls out as Christian, yet is three times worse than Walker, because he ADVOCATES for abortion, a Christian big 'no-no'? A guy who takes money from the poor in his church and uses it for BLM, a Marxist front for terrorists?

A man that REJECTS our Constitution and wants to do away with it?

Yeah, let's create a list of what these hypocrite leftists stand for that Walker doesn't, and see exactly what you so-called Republicans actually stand for!

You people make me sick! You hunt for 'Mr. Perfect' in an obviously sinful world.. as Jesus said, "You cast the first stone" on others for being as bad as YOU are!!

Get real and vote for the candidate who stands for the Constitution, abortion or not! The other guys want to enslave the country! I have proved over and over again, they aren't for the Constitution, heck they aren't for us having a country! Vote Walker in to help cure the Deep State!

I think Erick's rather blunt assessment of "you can vote for a guy who apparently paid for one abortion, or you can vote for a guy that believes in abortion on demand", is what swayed me.

Notice the 'left' brings attention to the slip-ups that a candidate like Walker makes🤭, while they are guilty of way more, what I call, blatant 'in your face' sinful nature? They try to hold Christians, and GOP'ers to higher standards than themselves! But see the Bible says "ALL have sinned, and come short"! I don't know about you, but I feel bad when I mess it up! The leftists however do not! They hold their "we want abortion rights" up in our faces, and proclaim the "constitutional" right to do so! Got news for them! IT AIN'T IN THERE! That's WHY the SCOTUS corrected their mistake and threw it back to the states, because it's a 'states rights' item, not a federal item!

Let's stop trying to find "Mr. Perfect" to elect to office, and start holding candidates up to how they stand on the constitution and bill of rights! Walker has shown us his stance on it! Warnock has also shown us that he doesn't want the constitution in his life, just like other abortionists

I will vote for Herschel Walker. Is he perfect...No but he is forgiven and seeks to work in the future for Georgians to pursue values I agree with. I do not agree with anything that Warnock does, or the policies he supports. The choice is clear and is muddied by the mudslinging of the Left to distract us from staying focused on taking back the House and Senate.

Expand full comment

The irony here is that that evil, horrible traitor Brian Kemp might very well pull Herschel over the finish line. "Candidate quality" and "character" (let alone a candidate being qualified for the office) doesn't matter any more in either party.

But overall, looking at all the issues, if I lived in GA I would have to hold my nose and vote for Walker;

there are 2 far-left Senators representing Georgia? Seriously?

GOP primary voters everywhere need to stop listening to the out of state carpetbaggers and pick better quality candidates who can win.

It's a vote for policies, not the person. Let's vote the guy out that will side with Biden and vote in the guy that will block their radical agenda. Plain and simple in my opinion.

I decided to not vote for Walker over a year ago. Recent “scandals” have done nothing to change my mind.

With Roe overturned, I feel less burdened to vote for low quality prolife candidates.

It is possible (and increasingly likely) the Dems will overplay their hand and out of sheer frustration I could change my mind.

If you remember when Warnock took office he was too busy writing books to enrich himself to be bothered with constituents. Ossoff contacted all constituents. Warnock waited a year. I didn’t vote for either one because they have supported killing babies for a lifetime. How many Americans died and lost their jobs because of their vaccine promotion?

Expand full comment

I respectfully ask that you do consider changing your mind. I've been at this a long time, and have held my nose more than once to support someone I abhor personally, but knew that I could trust so far as a policy vote. I just don't see how we survive with the left in control the Senate. If all we can say is that Walker will be a vote for a semblance of sanity, that would still be enough for me.

Has Walker run over his wife ON PURPOSE??????????

Has Walker said he would vote to continue taking away our rights in America???????????

Has Walker said he would kill all the babies that God has created??????

What is your thinking of this

I don’t feel obligated to vote for any candidate. By sitting out this vote, maybe one day the GOP will understand that bad candidates do not automatically earn my vote. I am willing to risk a GOP loss in hopes the message finally gets across.

If you have a problem with that, perhaps you can show me another method of getting the point across that we need better candidates. I’m willing to change my mind if you can provide another path that satisfies my desire to make a point that our candidates are terrible for two elections in a row.
