I admit I’m not well versed on Israeli/Palestinian politics but I can’t understand why so many people in this country hate Jews so much. I grew up in Savannah which is a very religiously diverse city. Other than going to different church services, I never saw any difference between them and anyone else I knew. I am absolutely sickened by the anti-Semitism that has been on the rise for years and largely ignored until October 7. The displays I've seen in the last two weeks have been abhorrent. Taking away civil liberties isn't the answer, though. Combatting hate speech with good speech is a start. So is educating people on the true history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the history of persecution the Jews have faced for hundreds of years.
I believe I free speech too. But, someone that is here with a student visa that is spewing hate speech that goes against everything that this country was founded on, don’t you have to stop and ask why are you here?

No one has a constitutional right to a student visa. In fact, the process for letting students into the country should be highly selective.
