This Holy Week, yours are among the commentaries I listen to, including Jeff Cavins, Catholic theologian, and Fr. Mike Schmitz. No matter the religion, the faith is the same. And the power of the story of Christ is present. Judas, even though Jesus had granted him authority to go out with the others to heal the sick, restore sight and preach to the people of Israel. Even doing those wondrous signs, Judas was destined to be entered into by Satan. His ultimate sin was already known to Jesus. We all falter and God allows us to fail but then walks with us to come to the light of forgiveness. That's the glory of his love for us and his sacrifice at the Cross. The light is coming. The Resurrection is near at hand.

Two years ago, my elderly mother suffered a bad fall, hit her head, and became a quadriplegic. Mind still sharp, but her body is functionally useless. I'm not sure what kind of a "plan" that is.

I'm so sorry, Joe. But we often do not know the plans of God because his ways are so different from ours. But he promises in scripture are that all things work together for good to them who love the Lord. How that works out for your mother, I'm pretty sure know one knows. This is part of what it means to live by faith.

There will be many people who did things in jesus' name that the father will not know...I think that's scriptural. Not KJV or ICB.

What a wonderful article you wrote, full of hope and that is the word of the day...HOPE, in our LORD Jesus as the true KING of this world. The article was great but Erick the comments were even greater, more full of hope, love, mercy and joy, simply put more full of JESUS. Arise my Love, Lord Jesus for "Then Came The Morning".

Judas was so close, yet so far. We all know people... our friends, family, neighbors, co-workers who are so close yet cannot bridge the gap between mind and heart. Pray for them, and pray that God will allow you to be a part of the miracle of rebirth. Things are not falling apart; they are falling into place. The resurrection changed everything. Happy Easter, and thank you, Erick, for this reminder.

Yes, I see and feel the darkness around me and all the temptations of our worldly existence. I also see green shoots among the younger people who reject much of the political power games, selfishness and corruption which abound. There is hope this Easter season like a light shining in the darkness.

Thank you, Erick. It's hard not to let the darkness distract me from being a reflection of His light in the world around me... and to remember that Jesus died, not only for me, but also for those who are the purveyors of the darkness... and my job is to love them as He does. That's hard. I'm working on it.

We’re all Judas. Repent and try not to be Judas

More Peter and less Judas that's the plan...

Mary His Mother is the goal. She never left His side. But, yes, Peter, not Judas. And yet, Jesus still loved both of them and forgave them. Being Jesus is nearly impossible but a goal to strive for. Forgive and love even when betrayed by our closest friends. But always be Mary and never give up on our children
