Last week, the Secretary-General of NATO felt the need to tweet about transphobia. Millions of people in NATO countries find no use for that sort of thing. These people are winning elections and wondering if NATO is relevant anymore. The Secretary-General helped them answer the question negativesly.
Corporations continue pushing woke agenda items, Alphabet Gang initiatives, and bragging about the ESG and DEI — things advanced by leftists and abhored by people on the right. It is not a surprise that a growing number of people on the right have turned against the free market at the Fortune 500 signals loudly it has taken a side in the culture war.
The Senate Chaplin yesterday prayer for the people of Iran as they grieve the loss of their president, which they are not doing. The State Department issued a statement of condolence on the death of the butcher of Tehran. The BBC noted the monster’s complicated legacy.
The government covered up COVID data that did not conform to guidance, refused to change guidance as data changed, and collaborated with businesses to fire people who refused the COVID-19 vaccine, which did not stop people from getting COVID-19.
Now, the post office is so busy making sure Amazon packages get delivered on time that it refuses to perform its basic constitutional duty to deliver mail on time. My daughter mailed her graduation announcements on April 16th. We have friends who live within two miles of us who just got them this past weekend. I know a guy who got a notice of failure to pay his taxes before his check showed up to the IRS. He mailed the check before April 15th. Boards of Elections are sounding the alarm that absentee ballots are not being delivered. I am in that boat. My absentee ballot never got processed, and the election is today.
Teachers on TikTok are bragging about using the public education monopoly to indoctrinate kids into the Alphabet Gang’s agenda. School boards are silencing parents who read from books available in elementary school libraries due to their content. However, the parents are accused of banning books when they want them removed from the elementary school.
The elite are failing and discrediting themselves. But it is more than that. They are discrediting Western security institutions, the free market, and our constitutional order and governing entities. By picking cultural sides and failing to be truthful and competent, the elite are undermining the very foundations on which our republic depends.
I believe boycotts of companies pushing out an agenda are also part of the free markets. If a company feels they need to push out left wing talking points, as a part of the free markets I can choose to take my dollars elsewhere. That is another way of forcing businesses to hear opposing views. Blacks used the power of the purse quie well in the push for civil rights. Those people who feel the agenda being expressed by companies have the right to let the company know their views. One way to get a companies attention is with the power of the purse. As a side note, Target jumped on the progressive left bandwagon long before most companies by embracing bathroom selection by people's feelings, I feel male today but tomorrow I may feel/identify as female. Target made a choice to allow little children to potentialy be exposed to males in females bathrooms. Target has suffered from the power of the purse. They deserved it.
Erick, one name to contemplate when considering USPS service in Georgia:
Palmetto.
There's a gynormous new postal hub there, down near Peachtree City, which *may* be staffed by DEI hires. Palmetto loses, delays, destroys mail. For a period last month, semis loaded with unsorted mail were re-routed from Palmetto out to Michigan and Illinois to be sorted and reinjected into the delivery system. You are not alone in your complaints; you should hear what the Blairsville PO employees have to say about Palmetto!
