During the LA Rams v. 49ers game, multiple politicians and celebrities were seen maskless even as they force those around them to wear masks.
The Mayor of Los Angeles claimed he was holding his breath when he took a picture with Magic Johnson. The Governor of California claimed he only had it off to eat and drink. Both were lying. Multiple pictures and videos showed them maskless with no food or drink nearby.
Then, over the weekend, Stacey Abrams and some progressives delightfully posted pictures of Abrams at a local public school in Decatur, GA. Decatur is a progressive enclave outside Atlanta proper, but inside the Perimeter, a name for I-285, which circles the urban core of Atlanta.
Children were all wearing masks so Abrams could pose for pictures with them maskless. It is a national news story today. It is not, but should be a news story that a public school invited a gubernatorial candidate to campaign in the public school. But people are focused on Abrams’ mask hypocrisy.
Instead of saying sorry, Abrams’ campaign deleted the picture and lashed out at Republicans for supposedly unfair attacks. Abrams, not too long ago, attacked Governor Brian Kemp for not imposing mandatory masks in schools.
A lot of right-of-center commentators say Kemp and the legislature, currently meeting, should immediately ban masks in schools. The reality is Georgia is overwhelmingly maskless now except the urban progressive enclaves like Decatur. If Kemp banned mask mandates, those parents would still have their kids in masks by choice. Several of the big restaurants in Atlanta still make patrons wear masks when entering and exiting the restaurant. Progressives love the theater of it. It makes them feel safe.
The issue, however, highlights the war on the rest of us from the elite. Abrams wants everyone to wear masks but gets to opt-out. Instead of saying sorry, she attacks anyone for pointing out the hypocrisy.
It isn’t just her. Time and time again, this is happening as Democrat politicians who want everyone masked, refuse to do the same. They don’t recognize the hypocrisy. They don’t recognize how out of touch it makes them seem. They cannot believe it is actually going to cost them support.
But it will. November is coming and the Democrats, in their progressive enclaves surrounded by COVID Chicken Littles always afraid the sky is falling, are going to have the political sky fall on them.
Ms. Abrams states: “ her opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health during the pandemic.” Would someone please ask Ms. Abrams what is the failed record in Georgia during this pandemic? GOVERNOR KEMP did not force businesses to lock down; for people to lose their business – MANY FAMILY OWNED; lose their homes; lose their livelihood and in some cases , which has been in many DEMOCRAT RUN STATES AND CITIES, TO LOSE THEIR LIVES BY SUICIDE; to watch their children suffer under mask mandates for over two years (now proven they don’t work); to bring illegal aliens into our country - MANY HAVE COVID AND BUSING THEM INTO OUR CITIES IN GEORGIA UNDER THE COVER OF NIGHT. What failed policies from the Republicans or is she DISTRACTING FROM THE REAL FAILED POLICIES OF THE DEMOCRATS AND WHAT HARM SHE WOULD HAVE DONE TO THE CITIZENS OF GEORGIA IF SHE WAS GOVERNOR.
"November is coming and the Democrats, in their progressive enclaves surrounded by COVID Chicken Littles always afraid the sky is falling, are going to have the political sky fall on them."
I sincerely hope so. Memories are short for many Americans, especially independents. This will be an ugly mud-slinging campaign season reminding short-sighted Americans what transpired since Jan 27, 2021. Dems will attempt to minimize their divisiveness, let alone economic impacts and damage to USA's leadership position in the free world.
Remember, remember, remember, then vote.
