I will vote Republican regardless the nominee. But I would really like a nominee who has shown the ability to maintain standards and present strength as others abandon their beliefs. For that reason, I will support Nikki Haley until she wins or another is selected. I'd like your thoughts on her strengths, weaknesses, and chances. Thank you for keeping us informed.

I like DeSantis, but I also like Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, and Tim Scott, and I want to hear what all of them have to say. I'm happy Trump won't attend the first debates because maybe we'll actually get to hear new and innovative ideas being discussed in an adult manner rather than an episode of "The Jersey Shore for Politicians."

Pence may be a good man, but I lost respect when he turned tail on Christians in Indiana - Remember "Memories Pizza"? I never forgot. He didn't have the spine then and I don't believe he will grow one now. De Santis 2024

I posture that this is turning out exactly like 2016. 9 candidates is still way too many. 4 of those candidates have a snowballs chance. So long as it remains a multiple candidate race, trump wins. Look at Dems in 2020. Several candidates in the race include Gay Pete. Sanders was ready to take Super Tuesday and win the nom. Pete and two others dropped out making it a two way race and biden won.

IF the others don't check their ego's they will be playing right into Trumps hand.

I say this with the intent that I will vote for trump if he gets the nomination. But I doubt he will win the presidency.

It would be a shame if Trump isn't rejected because of his many inexcusable defamations of character (against DeSantis, Kayleigh McEnany, etc.) and other distasteful (even sinful) behaviors, and his lack of guts in making The Wall a reality (NO vetoes), in even STARTING to drain the Swamp, and his complaisance in ceding the response to the pandemic to the school-closing mask maniac, Dr. Fauci. "Fighter?" I think NOT.

But it would be a shame if he were rejected because of an unjust prosecution.

While I believe the indictments levied against Trump are hypocritical at best, but perhaps they are baseless. Yet the constant drip regarding Mr. Trump's lack of either self-control or his choosing to ignore advice leads to a greater issue--a lack of humility and a demonstration he will learn from his errors and change--which brings us back to his overwhelming hubris. Too often in business "he who blows not his own horn, his horn will be not tooted." This has ceased to be a question regarding hearing our former president for who he truly is. The problem is becoming that we have heard him.

To quote the esteemed Don Rumsfeld,

“There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know.”

Who’d have thought he was not talking about the Iraq war but instead predicting the election of 2024.

We have pending indictments, which will bolster President Trump’s support.

We have RFK Jr at the border, acting all presidential and rising in the Dem polls.

We have Brandon skipping the New Hampshire primary, ensuring RFK jr wins that primary.

We have Cornell West, who will pull young black voters away from the Dems.

We have the No Labels party, currently qualified for the ballot in 3 states with more to come. They are not going thru all this work to NOT run a candidate. Rumor has it they would like to run Manchin. No matter who they run they will suck more votes away from Brandon.

We have a possible surprise play when the DNC dumps Cackles and subs in Newsome.

What we know is that we won’t know until June 1, 2024, when the real race begins.

Popcorn. Rice Crispy treats. Cigars. Bourbon. It’s all good.

Cheers

Yep, pontificate all you want. It's fun, but generally meaningless. Like Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition skit, NOBODY expected DJT to win in 2016, but win he did. And suddenly, all the blathering that seemed to make so much sense 24 hours earlier proved to be little more than arrogant wishful thinking.

If Trump becomes the nominee I will vote down ballot and not cast a vote for the top of the ticket. I will not endorse chaos in the White House again.

Yep, the White House is so much more stable right now.

Its very important that we all vote down ballot on our local issues. That's where our votes have the most long-term impact. Cheers

That's a used to be, that's not how it is today. It was in the past a fact that who was the president honestly didn't really affect anyone locally. Now it does. Obama made sure of that. While any election, local or otherwise is important, Today the president can literally be a matter of life and death.

How many have died because of Bidens soft on crime policies and that's just one. What about the border crisis. How many have been killed maimed or women raped because of illegals entering the country and doing us harm.

Electing a local conservative leader wont help against that.

So yes, the point being it is important to vote in local elections and help local leaders. IT won't do much good if Biden wins a second term.

I make this prediction now. If Biden is elected again, he will be the last democratically elected president in the United States.

I fully agree but it will be because we will never have another election in the US.
