Elections have consequences

Candidate quality matters

Character matters

These are state wide elections. The people of Kentucky have a decision to make that should not be about R or D per se, but it is also about R and D policies.

Unfortunately the Commonwealth of Kentucky, to some extent, has become like my home Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Geographically, the majority of both states are hard working conservatives who believe in what the two "states" originally stood for. But just like Massachusetts, the liberals in the major cities, IE. Boston, Louisville, have taken over due to freebees given to the worthless masses in exchange for votes. My family and I have proudly lived in Kentucky since 1995 and I would not choose to live anywhere else. The sun does shine bright on MY KENTUCKY HOME!!!

Also, please don't judge KY by the Louisville-Frankfort-Lexington corridor. There is much more to the state & it has lots of conservatives. Once the nepotistic/teachers union rule in Frankfort crumbles under its own weight sane policies may reign again. At least that is my hope.

So glad you enjoyed your trip to Louisville, in my home state for a lifetime before Andy's policies were so readily accepted by folks formally proud of their "unbridled spirit ". Then I went into exile farther south. I still have kids in the place, so I follow KY politics. Friends who know him assure me Andy is a "good kid". That may be so, but he and Louisville city policies are not. Their local LE hasn't been doing a stellar job of late. Brianna Taylor? In my experience the KSP is much better trained, much better vetted, and much better in terms of just enforcement, but I lived in the hinterlands where we had a KSP post, and they responded when called.

Amen! This has been something I have felt strongly about for years. Organizations that do not adapt and evolve end up dying. Conservatism appeals to people across the board, but has an image problem because of the past. To remain viable in the future, the GOP needs to demonstrate how conservatism transcends race and gender by electing people that represent the real diversity.

Good point Erick mentioning democratic black leadership in government and the media, there does seem to be a take over in both fields. I try my nest to not be racist and have several black people i am friends. However my eyes show the picture i mentioned how liberal mind set seems to be growing for public influence. We have a minority , 12 percent in population gaining tremendous position and i am bothered by this influence. Some how Conservatives need to get back in this fight.

"They’ll also force a reshaping of the prevailing media narrative against Republicans without actual sacrificing Republican values to do so."

Do you really think so? Every time a Black conservative hits the national stage it's always the same "Uncle Tom" BS from the left and the media. I don't see that changing because 50% of the electorate buys into it.

As long as conservatives will focus on those who focus and deliver on their messages, those who do not live in the past but focus on a positive future, and stop turning politicians into demigods we should be okay!

Just was in Louisville KY this past weekend.

Let me count the ways.

I was assaulted by a homeless person. My friend who met me there car was shot up and had to replace two tires and will have to repair his side door.

His daughter in the hotel had a homeless person walk up and yank on her hair.

My hotel room door was banged on and last but not least.

When my friend got there, while we were out enjoying the decay of the town his room was broken into and white powder thrown all over the floor and his daughters clothes ripped apart.

Never ever ever again.

Yes we called the police and they did nothing to the guy who assaulted me. Not to the ones caught on camera destroying the hotel room.

So how the KT gov can shrug his shoulders and say more police would get in the way of the local police who aren’t doing anything anyway is ridiculous.

If you were a member of the elites, the police would quickly arrest the persons involved. But you are not an elite.
