What really struck me was the individual who asked, "Why are they releasing all this information and video?" But if they hadn't released it, then that, too, would have been sign of a coverup. People see what they want to see.
Isn’t Erick contributing to this when he makes claims that “our society is dangerously close to spiraling out of control” because “they” - the social media influencers - are making money off these events? I’m not buying the idea that we are dangerously close to spiraling out of control because some nitwits have Twitter accounts.
Yes...because police officers in small towns like Altoona always carry at least $10 Grand in US and Foreign currency to plant on innocent suspects. Was that cash the defining factor that will make for a likely conviction? Lord.
Question everything, including absolute truths, accept nothing, is the virus that has invaded the psyche of a generation of people thanks to our current educational system and social media, IMHO. Becoming desensitized to violence has proven the fatal flaw.
So for all those who think this killing is justified how about your neighbors friends or even family members who steal over the $308 billion a year of insurance fraud it’s the largest economic crime in the country. These lost revenues, cause insurance companies to look for other ways to make the money up. So again do we justify killing those people?
I'm very anti-conspiracy. Most conspiracies I find either ridiculous or forced, and incompetence is to blame where so many others think conspiracy. That said, a man who plotted a public assassination with a suppressor, knew where his target would be, and engraved bullets who then became a ghost for a week despite images of his face in this big-brother age we live in, just suddenly pops up at a McDonald's, weapon on his person with tons of incriminating evidence? Come on Erick, you could at least be somewhat curious at how oddly suspect this is. Seems to me you've gone so far into "it's never a conspiracy" land that you're being as myopic as the people who think everything is a conspiracy. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but if you're not allowed to ask questions when something is truly suspect when are you?
It’s becoming all too common that people don’t trust what they see and hear so they make up their own theories to fit their narrative. Who or what can you trust anymore? Too many lies and way too much violence
Liked the CS Lewis quote! Fitting. You made a more hidden Lewis statement in yesterday’s podcast when you said (do not remember the context) “They have no chests.” Always enjoyable Erick!
"The people who intend just to ask questions are helping sow the seeds, and those who, because of their distrust of “the system,” cannot grapple with basic answers will be the tip of the spear"
Genesis 3 all over again. Start with "Did God really say...?", follow with a lie "You will not certainly die..." and suddenly we're out of Eden. Nothing new, just more agents willing to be "serpents".
I tried sharing this one Facebook, and Facebook deleted it.

So true, and sad
Not everything is a conspiracy, sometimes reality is right there looking at you it’s black and white not shades of gray

I have it on good authority that Luigi Mangione is Lee Harvey Oswald's grandson (snerk)..
Or Ted Cruz's
Your last statement about “social” media becoming a virus in our brains strikes a cord with me. That’s why I refer to it as “anti-social” media.
It can be infectious, and not necessarily in a good way. And that can often be anything but “social”.

I think Friedrich Nietzsche predicted this current culture when he said, “There are no facts, only interpretations.”
Lots of “I don’t usually believe conspiracy theories, but….”

Occam's Razor might suggest that he wanted to be caught.
If so, that would explain it

I vote for people are fucking stupid. And they are all driving slowly in the left lane.
