Fourteen years ago this past week my wife was given six months to live. On the same day we received that diagnosis, I lost my job. I spent the afternoon exhausted, sitting in mud, cradling my one year old in the rain, while I cried. Having left the hospital to get my child from day care, I was too exhausted to get up and go inside. It was a Christmas to remember.
Thank you for this testimony of God’s unchanging amazing grace. Three things I cling to in tough times - God is sovereign, God is perfect and God is love.
Merry Christmas everybody! Pray for me as I travel on Delta to the Land of Fruits and Nuts in the morning. Many blessings to all and to you, Erick and your precious family.
Thank you for sharing that. I can't imagine how difficult that Christmas was. Your advise is excellent. I wish you and your wife a long life together and a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you and so glad your family has been blessed!
One song we have sung at my church these past two Christmas seasons is called just that, “Glorious Impossible”.
❤️
God bless you and your family!!!
He makes a way where there is no way.
This needs to become your annual Christmas story, Erick. Thank you for sharing. It puts life into proper perspective.
I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas. Next year will be awesome!
Dear Erick,
The transparency about your faith and how it gives you hope, gives me hope.
Until I learned to keep Christ in my every day and in Christmas, I also struggled with HDS...Holiday Derangement Syndrome.
Now, when people ask if I’m ready for Christmas, I can honestly reply “Yes, every day!”
May God continue to hold you and your family in His strong and loving arms and protect you with His mighty love.
I cried sitting here reading that. Oh my heart. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness in every circumstance.
Ever and always thankful for His promise to never leave us or forsake us. Christmas blessings to the Erickson family 🎄🎄🎄
Beautiful, just beautiful. Thank you.
Times so difficult it's hard to breathe, going only from one minute to the next. Thank you for your testimony, Erick.
