Friends, as I grow my show nationally, I keep being told I must stop doing this. But I’m not sure I can. In fact, I’m sure I can’t. Today, the world remembers the most important event in human history. The consequences of this Easter Weekend 1,988 years ago still have the power to collapse governments. Entire world regimes live in fear of the empty tomb. A lot of people here in the United States do too.
You will have to forgive me for my injection of politics into this more solemn context, but your opening of this piece ("I keep being told I must stop doing this") just begs for a comparison to others in conservative media (whom I suspect are the ones telling you this). Along with an annoying fidelity to truth, your problem is that you are a pernicious purveyor of hope and faith, neither of which are consistent with anger or grievance.
Anger and grievance drive ratings and with the "media tail [having now come to] wag the political dog" (see the opinion piece below), hence, the Republican Party.
Thank you for your commitment in doing this. Today men and women of God will have to have spines of titanium to resist “the spirit of the age.“ Jesus cautioned that if we were to be ashamed of Him before this sinful generation, He will be ashamed of us when He “comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38, Luke 9:26 Thank you again for not caving to the spirit of the age. 🙏🏼
