Reading the comment here brought to mind that the chief duty for doctors and hospitals is preserving life, treating injury and promoting recovery. And, incidentally, that applies just as much for the elderly as for young professionals deemed by some to be more useful to society because currently active. People should not have to worry that if the doctor cures them, the bill will bankrupt them!

People’s actions should be judged by their creator. You will stand before Him mute, holding a bucket of the actions of your life. He will examine them and pass judgement.

The closer one gets to the shooting, the more the medals mean. Hegseth's awards, including the CIB, show closeness to the shooting.

Let's leapfrog the time-consuming investigative part and jump right into an assumptive close, shall we?? Absolutely disgusting! Haywood and his ilk are the very same people who would emphatically insist that something like Germany's holocaust could never happen again because we're so much more "evolved" and educated than the German population of the '30s and '40s. Yet here they sit gleefully cheering on the Josef Mengeles of today because victims like CEO Brian Thompson "had it coming." IT'S LITERALLY THE SAME MINDSET THAT SENT JEWS TO PRISON CAMPS! That they cannot see this is beyond maddening to me!

Obamacare killed my "Cadillac plan". It gave the health coverage companies the ability to use Obamacare as an excuse to lower the things that are covered.

The fix to healthcare (it ain't insurance) is not the government.

The fix is less government.

Rather than health coverage we should all have an HSA.

We go and pay a doc "cash".

We price shop docs (you get what you pay for?).

Additionally some sort of catastrophic coverage should also be available.

We need to also get rid of the prescription middle-men.

What does a chest x ray cost with the radiologist’s report? Prices are inflated if you have insurance. Medicare and Blue Cross pay about a third of what is charged.

What is the charge if you pay cash?

I'm sure it varies, but I visited an orthopedic office in a large city recently. They told me if I paid cash the cost would be 45% less.

I had my weak plan canceled because it "wasn't good enough." I worked hard to get it and it covered things, even if not everything, and then thanks to Obama I had no health insurance at all.

The Bronze Star is awarded for "Heroic or meritorious achievement or service".

As far as awards given for actions in combat, it's on the low side. You don't even have to be in combat to be given one. I know someone who was given a Bronze Star for his actions during a search and rescue mission.

That being said, it is an honor.

And with any medal given for individual action, it greatly depends on who also was there and who saw you do it.

The left claims to be inclusive.

They claim to love everyone.

They claim to believe the science.

They claim to believe the data.

That is...

Until...

You don't believe the same way they do.

The science and/or data doesn't follow their argument.

It ‘s Commie these people want to be like the 1960 communists party of Russia.

And the Left learned nothing from the election. Good. They'll lose the midterm too with this mindset and the press will be complicate in their loss. Pass the popcorn. The next two years are going to be exquisite reading and viewing as Progressives lose their collective minds.

Strongly believe we need to press our advantage now, while the left are reeling on their heels and don't know it. The left needs to be thoroughly routed. They are too proud and indoctrinated to change and we must continually use that against them. Trump winning is only the very beginning. The democrat party needs to be relegated to an intensely blue yet useless and powerless Socialist party. Need to be planning now for 26', 28', 32', and onward.

We should be very careful to not over extend and get the cart before the horse as the Left did. It backfired on them. They read too much into things and tried to advance their cause too far, too fast.

But, the left bases their efforts on constant lying, and censorship. We’re not like them. I’m suggesting we ceaselessly point out their lying, biases, and intellectual inconsistencies at every opportunity, undermining their propaganda supporters in legacy media. We don’t have to act as the arrogant snobs they often choose to be, just politely, firmly point out their foolishness.

On this we agree, and Erick does a FANTASTIC job of this on a daily basis. My point is that we don't urge our elected representatives to go too far too fast as the Left did. America will make sure our gains are cemented by re-electing common sense so long as we reinforce character as a positive candidate characteristic again.

Exactly. If we become arrogant as they have become, we will be just as lost. I think conservatives can't imagine how these people can even go about their day, thinking as we do, so we tend to get comfortable after a big win, and then the left just continues on seeking to destroy. We have to inoculate America against their mind virus, and I think we need to lean into it.

Mark Malcolm's avatar

The "inoculation against their mind-virus" as you put it is school choice. Unless and until we take back education in this country, the Left will just subvert whatever institutions spring up or expand when progressives fail. But, if we can break the cycle of their indoctrination camps vis a vie the public education system and higher education system in this country, then America has a fighting chance. If we do not retake the education system, progressives will just subvert the system again once it is cleansed and we'll be right back here in fifty years again.

Progressives look for an exception and claim it is the rule. I am sure that the Insurance Company has denied some claims they should have paid. I am sure that the CEO wasn't lily white innocent in every order that he made. But, these exceptions are not justification for the hatred that is spewing out of these sick people now.

My son is progressive, so I have seen how this stuff works first hand. Since he can forever find an exception and claim it to be the standard, in his head, he is always deeply justified in his beliefs. Arguments are interesting sometimes, but absolutely useless.

I have UHC through my employer and I've been happy with it. I work for a great company though, so maybe we have a better plan than others. I do find it a little odd that the acronym for my plan is POS (Point of Service). Who would approve a name like that?
