Eric you are finally coming around. This is the Eric I used to know and love. Now if only you would realize the Democrats and the news media have no interest in telling the truth. They are beholden to Satan who can not tell the truth.
Lamentably, I believe you are right in your assessment and what is needed. I am thankful for what you are doing. May the Lord help you to be faithful and true and bold. May the Lord use you for much good. That is my prayer. Outside of a great work of God's grace we have no hope. We know He uses means. May you be among the means He uses so truth may be known.
At this point, corporate media, Twitter and Facebook are nothing more than tools of “the state”. They are engines of disinformation, lies and distortions. At some point, the truth will take them down.
I’m frustrated too. And a ‘stolen election’ is forbidden to be talked about, which, in itself, is a tell. The recent outing by Veritas of CNN’s poisonous bias, is true for the other major networks as well. I believe this really all started very long ago as the ‘enlightened’ began moving away from God. And, many others became lukewarm to Him. The spiritual darkness in our country is immense right now and will take prayer and repentance on each of our parts so that the Lord may grant us revival, and a renewed belief that actually telling the truth matters.
Let me tell you, you will not find a better candidate than Latham Saddler...he is stellar. Look up his profile and you will be a supporter. What do we do, Erick? They have ALL the methods of shutting us up. I have friends who voted for Biden who have the same values as we do, but they will not even LISTEN to any view other than their own. I found myself talking with our dog trainer yesterday...listening to her sickening stories of things she hears from her liberal clients. She dares not express a contrary view because she will lose customers. THIS is not America. I just don't know where conservatives can go to make our views public as everything we say and do is cancelled. Any suggestions?
Nan, I’m right there with you. I posted above, but I also have ‘defunded’ google and facebook personally. I subscribe to the Daily Wire, and will probably begin subscribing to the Epoch Times. But all I have ever wanted was for a news organization to give the unvarnished truth about both sides. Anything less than that is not journalism. I don’t want to be fed right wing talking-points, I want to read/hear facts. I think we should challenge the progressives to a series of national debates, no moderators, except for maybe a timer. When facts are allowed to be spoken, our side most always wins.
Dad, I have also defunded google, facebook and I subscribe to The Epoch Times, which I highly recommend. I've given up Coke ( nectar of the gods! ), written the board of Coke, MLB, senators, representatives, and others. I would LOVE to see debates between the progressives and conservatives....unfortunately, all the progressives would do is scream epithets and cry oppression because they have NO issues to stand on! It is the only way they know how to argue....Love that suggestion, though!!
I agree they’d scream and whine. And that’s the point. Most people, even, left wingers, are not idiots. They’d recognize their lack of any real argument and so their ideas would begin to be lampooned. I say, call them out, at a national level, to put their best against ours, Lincoln- Douglas style, and put it on the air for all to hear. Their ideas work best in darkness. Light is a disinfectant. Thanks for the Epoch Times recommendation. Just want the truth.
Amen! Epoch Times is conservative...founded by refugees from China, I believe. So you will see a lot pertaining to China thrown in. I still find it interesting and informative. I don't really know where to go to get unvarnished truth...not right, not left. I know there are places people have recommended to me that will balance out my mostly conservative info gathering. Reading the left and the right sides is so much work, I admit to being pretty lazy!
Hah! Yeah, I used to think the Wall Street Journal was the best average of ideas. But, I think they crave getting invited to all the important DC cocktail parties, so they will pull their punches to remain ‘liked’ or maybe ‘tolerated’. I’ll give Epoch Times a go. Thanks!
I'm frustrated Erich, Eric, Erik, and Erick! When will facts and only facts once again be reported, so we, free thinking individuals, can decide for ourselves what the facts reported SPELL for our future decisions?
Thanks for your report. According to the evidence presented in last year's great contest, we awaken now to discover that there is indeed no man, no woman nor any party who is capable of governing this nation properly and honestly.
As for us socialmedia-slithering Americans, and our search for credible sources, perhaps we should return to the libraries for evidence of who is wrong and who is right about all this divisive blather; how 'bout we just ignore all that easily-fluffedup cable and social media provocation and manipulation.
Where are the objective journalists when you really need them? Have they given up on the search for truth, justice and American governance? Have they all taken sides in the Great Divorce of Left and Right?
While it is true that nearly all news media, left and right, has gone downhill, it is a mistake to assume that any journalist, or any human for that matter, can be objective. It is not in our natures.
The answer is to assume nothing and question everything including, and maybe especially, from sources you "trust." Don't limit yourself to the echo chamber where you only follow news and columns that you agree with. Gather your information from as many sources as possible (including original sources when possible, such as actual bills, laws and court decisions). And don't read or listen just to criticize or find fault. Try to find the truth behind what is actually reported--there is usually something there, even if it gets discarded along the way. While there are some who make up their "facts" from whole cloth, most often the journalist or columnist (they are not the same thing) chooses the facts to highlight--as in the Georgia voting law.
Don't fall into the easy trap of believing your side is always right and the other side is always wrong. Life and truth are much more complicated than that.
I'm 70 years old. We used to believe the news. We used to believe that what was reported was factual. We were naive. The Viet Nam war pretty much disabused us of that notion, though it took some time.
Wow, Mary Jo, thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. I consider your advice to be absolute wisdom. I write historical fiction novels; the writing of these stories is driven by historical research. I take very seriously your counsel about finding reliable sources, and then searching for truth.
Seeking out the truth is no simple matter.
Congratulations on making it to 70. I am three months away from that landmark.
My fourth novel, King of Soul, is a story about what happened to our nation during the Vietnam War. The story is partly autobiographical, and told from the perspective of an LSU student (me) who, in spring of 1970 goes on a road trip of escapism to Kent Ohio because his girl friend from Savannah has decided to quit LSU and go back to Georgia.
So true! It is astounding and scary how social media and MSM censors based on “ misinformation “. It’s “misinformation “ if they don’t agree...truly horrifying!
Too bad you can't print this on the front page of the NY Times. Thank you Mr. Erickson.
Thank you for continuing to provide a truthful alternative to the lies that are today's media.

Thank you for sharing these truths which are so absent in America's media, and liberal establishments. We, like Erick, need to be truth-tellers.

Maybe the possibility of a stolen election will turn out to be true??

Bottom line: I miss Walter Cronkite.
Thank you for your kind words. I look forward to reading your book.

Right...so we know the left and the media have been lying to us for years. "We" try to be reasonable, they lie through their teeth.
When does this end?
Why are they not challenged on this BS?
