There’s an odd phenomenon on the left. They have decided to rewrite the history of JRR Tolkien’s orc creation from being a creature past the point of redemption and a manifestation of walking evil into a part of queer culture — a misanthropic anti-hero misunderstood by people. It is all part of redefining the deviant as normal and the normal as deviant.
Nazis are real live orcs and the progressive right is trying to redefine them as the misunderstood good guys of World War II. Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens have not only both started serving as Nazi apologists, but adding other voices. The latest, an amateur history Carlson calls the “most trusted” and “honest” historian, believes Winston Churchill was actually the bad guy in World War II.
Both the progressive left and right, in trying to redefine evil, are actually slowly working to, together, redefine the American experiment as bad. Both must undermine the United States to reshape it into their own image, orcs or Nazis.
I read what this guy actually said and all I can say is he didn’t study history the way I did. This is one of my favorite periods in world history and know that he is, to quote Obi-Wan Kenobi, looking at it from “a certain point of view.” To be clear, some of his points are so bizarre to any true historian.
I feel sorry for Tucker Carlson. I used to enjoy his broadcasts, but now it seems that his cheese has slipped off the cracker.
The difference here is that any of this junk on the right is believed by a small population of extremists while most of it on the left is adopted by the majority of mainstream Democrat ideology.
Let's stop with these unbalanced comparisons as they are best intellectually weak.
