I had an opportunity to sit down with Vice President Pence on Friday to talk about the coronavirus taskforce, Georgia’s slow-rolling reopening, and what college football might look like in the fall.
The media hates all Republicans except for the temporary exception of Republicans willing to bash other Republicans, in which case they are treated as short-term rock stars. The reason they have an extreme hatred of Trump is that he actually keeps his promises to implement policies that the Democrats hate, at least to the extent of his power do do so.
Same happened in 2016. Unfortunately Erick was on a different side that time. They thought all of us were illiterate and a basket of whatever. But they were proved wrong I hope it happens this time too. But this time they want to win whatsoever happens even if Biden says I want beat Joe Biden on CNBC.
As a marketing person who has written hundreds of promotional and advertising pieces to attract and retain customers, my eyes are often drawn to "action" words...words now used by most MSM writers. Eventually, however, those words lose their power when overused...or used for the wrong reasons. This is why, for me at least, the MSM is nothing more than a banner ad that is in my peripheral vision, but one I no longer give my attention to. They are more like an annoying gnat that I eventually swat away. They are similar to the leftover casserole I place in my refrigerator, forget to open and eat, and keep pushing to the back of the 'fridge, eventually dumping in the trash (okay, enough similes). They bring no value to my life, so I pay little to no attention to them. Thank you, Erick, for your honesty and quality research and writing that I enjoy reading and learning from each week.
There's no EDIT button for these comments, I've learned to my sorrow. :-(
Post in haste, repent at leisure.
Edit last paragraph, beginning with "funeral" to read:
Completely unrelated to my death, but it's just that good. The NYT could learn a lot if they'd only be intellectually honest enough to see how it's done and humble enough to want to do right by their readers.
I'll self-quarantine from commenting and do penance for awhile.
Erick--it's even harder to take the NYT's bilge when there are actually some great assessments of what took place to get us to this point in journalism and reporting. Victor Davis Hanson just released the most brilliant piece (IMHO) he's ever written. In your "spare time" you'll be blessed by this.
So good, I just might insist this piece be read aloud one day at my funeral. Completely unrelated, but it's just that good. The NYT could learn a lot if they'd only be intellectually honest enough to see how it's done and humle enoough to want to do right by their readers.
It really is. It's amazing. The comments where it was published at National Review (which can sometimes be quite contentious albeit more high-brow) were gratifyiingly laudatory of this piece. It's a true tour de force.
Thank you. I'm sure your comments will fall on deaf ears, but it had to be said. At this point, I am beyond disgusted with the media, their bias, grandstanding and lies. I understand that as media and news consumers we have to check on the veracity of some items ourselves. However it seems almost impossible to even find information (I don't care what side of the coin) that isn't twisted in some way. Even scientists are twisting things to fit their personal biases!

I'm sick of the media and their lies. Nothing ever comes from lying. In my opinion President Trump has done a great job.
