Never mind a mass casualty event with Congress; Trump has survived two assassination attempts. What would happen if a week before the election someone takes out both him and Vance? What’s the Constitutional remedy for that?

My comments are typically off topic. Today is no different.

During his speech in Savannah Mr. Trump said there’s no way Kamala worked at McDonald’s and he jokingly said he should work at McDonald’s for half an hour. Wouldn’t that be rich? He would definitely win over the undecided voters.

Erick, no kidding, work your magic!

Re: Argentina

In 1941, Argentina had the 8th-largest navy in the world. They had prosperity. Then they embraced socialism and it all fell into ruin.

Venting:

Someone needs to tell Mark Robinson to step down now for the good of the GOP. Period. I don't know the man but from everything that has come out recently ... I think he's poison to the GOP.

WTH is Biden still pretending to be the President? His latest confusion and meltdown continue to show what a weak government we have. Someone (Harris) needs to invoke the 25th Amendment or whatever the process is; sooner than later!! Yes, we're less than 40 days away from the election but a lot can happen to this country in that span of time AND the reigns aren't handed over until January. Biden needs to go to a home and yes Harris would step into that position, which could be worse. But is Biden capable of making a major decision for the safety of our nation? I digress, is Harris?

Dr. Jill is probably making the decisions.

Probably. Hopefully she doesn't try to pass any crazy executive orders and have Joe sign off on them. What a mess! Who would have ever thought we'd go from 1st to who gives a rats @$$, and the Chinese already in place to take over.

Thanks Biden - hezbollah was probably given the 150,000 missiles from Iran money that Biden released.

Something I find interesting regarding writers, 'experts' on religion or Christianity is this: do they really understand Christianity? Have they studied the Bible? The articles always seem to forget that husbands are to submit themselves to their wives. Why aren't they teaching this part, too?

In 1 Peter 3:7 is written: "Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered".

The Social Pressure Index...

The definition of frustration is desire/expectations not aligning with reality.

By extension, if you don't think you can publicly express in civil discourse what you believe, you are going to feel frustrated.

I know there are LinkedIn post that I walk on by, just not worth liking or commenting.

I can't wait to read the 180 page brief in the election interference case (or at least to have chap gpt read it for me and summarize the juicy nuggets). This is going to be great.

Gambling of any kind. Have to say I find it bizarre that it can have that affect. I lived in Las Vegas 12 years or so and probably spent a total of 50.00 on gambling and just when out of town company wanted to go to a casino. I don't understand the attraction.

Perhaps it's because you are s.b. who subconsciously does a risk factor analysis for pretty much anything you might do where the outcome is not precisely known. And if the probability of loss is beyond what you are willing to pay, you walk away from it. A lot of people are not able to do that.

Also in our current world of excessive opportunities to lose our shirts through bad luck, when an opportunity to seemingly control the risk like fantasy football comes with increased enticements to get into the game (Ex: TV commercial offer that your first payment of $5 will give you $50 in bets.) for the owner of the game it's a total winner w/o any loss and a potential risk of addiction for the client.

I have to comment on the Politico article first. So one pistol can shift the balance of power, and maybe be done for that purpose. Are they trying to accuse the right of what they have planned next if the democrats don't remain in power? Seems all they accuse or suggest the right does, the left is actually doing.

As long as government can get a piece of the action they will gladly help people gamble drink use drugs whatever then blame someone else for the outcome

Sports gambling is great for stats people and sports writers. It is now nearly impossible to find an article about a game without any references or whining about the crushing loss of a wager that Patrick Mahomes was over/under 19.5 rushing yards in his last game.

I found the "Social Pressure Index" to be very interesting. The amount of mistrust, peer pressure (perceived or real), and even societal intimidation is more than enough to call into question the responses found my current polling methods. Virtually everyone believes nothing is truly private--whether phone conversations, one-on-one conversations in-person or online polling. What does this mean for the upcoming election? The best trends used to be history: what were the attitudes and voting habits demonstrated in prior elections. Yet AI, technology overall, and post-modernity and the incredible polarization of the electorate may have undermined our ability to "forecast" any upcoming election with any certainty at all.

And here we have the real evidence of why so many people will vote for Harris. People gambling in hopes of hitting the big one, counting on its success the make their lives perfect. Folks, online betting is no different than walking into the casino--they're still gonna get their vig, if nothing else. But to many, it's like the government guaranteeing them a happy life.

I only play the Lottery, and that at only $10/week. I worked too hard to build a nice retirement, and I won't let gambling ruin it.
