Today's article from the Guardian about "closing the gun show and internet loophole" is ridiculous. As a gun collector who has bought and sold many guns over the last 2 decades I can personally affirm what most gun rights groups have been saying for years: that this alleged "loophole" represents such a ridiculously small number of purchases annually as to be a statistically negligible phenomenon. The biggest problem, my gun store owner friends tell me, is straw purchases, wherein a relative or often a girl friend buys a gun for a convicted felon. There is also a criminal black market for gun purchases. I feel that you need to research this and report on the truth of the matter. Furthermore, as I recall, neither common gun crimes nor mass shootings are statistically associated with these types of "loophole" purchases.

THIS: "...more than 1 in 5 homeowners can’t afford a $500 repair on their primary residence without going into debt."

AND THIS: "Rate cuts: The inflation data was so alarming that former U.S. Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers said, ‘You have to take seriously the possibility that the next rate move will be upwards rather than downwards.’

AND FINALLY THIS: "Bonus: Credit-card delinquency rates were worst on record in Fed study"

So Bidenomics economic stupidity combined with his work to cancel fossil fuels combined with all the foreign conflict in the world that has happened under his "leadership"... that has jacked up the costs of diesel, gas and energy and everything else... and the people are having to go into debt to cover their needs, and Biden throws gas on the fire by jacking up interest rates on borrowing.

Democrats are the most tone-deaf species to roam the planet.

If we have to suffer bad economic news as the price to get rid of Bidenomics and its peddlers at the next election, bring it on. This level of pocketbook pain, and the name of the party that has caused most of it, will not be forgotten in a day by the voters.

It'll be interesting to see what President Biden does if there is an attack. Unfortunately, most of his promises vary depending upon which way the wind is blowing and are written in invisible ink. His waffling has created a situation where no ally in their right mind would trust his word. More unfortunately, he's an embarrassment to this country.

It’s wonderful thing that I’m now at retirement age and still going to have to work due to high cost of Medicare, inflation! Good thing I put money away, just hoping on changes so I don’t get taxed into poverty!

Re: "Black men ditching Biden for Trump":

I guess "demographics" maybe isn't "destiny" after all, eh?

Otherwise, this is part of a larger trend among Gen-Z voters: They guys are getting more conservative, and the girls are getting more liberal...

Re: "Why I Resigned From the DC Abortion Fund":

A Senior Operations and Strategy Director at the DCAF makes in the neighborhood of $160k per year... nothing to sneeze at. I looked up Allison Tombros Korman's profile. She has degrees/certificates in Women's Studies and Restorative Justice. Her former position is the wet dream of every social justice warrior with degrees in the "professional victim" industry.

It's a shame she had to endure that kind of anti-semitism at her workplace... but I do not shed a tear for her. Anyone who calls working for an organization that supports ripping babies out of the womb a "dream job" has some serious moral issues.

There is a lot of stuff in there that I have an opinion about, but the one that just leaves my mind completely boggled is the Jewish lady who is so very unhappy that she had to quit her job ensuring the death of untold numbers of unborn children because most of her colleagues are unhappy about the people of Gaza being killed in a war they started. Not that I don't agree with her position that the anti Semitism is abominable, but she fails to see how abominable her position is on killing the unborn. She proudly states she has her daughters involved in activism for abortion!! I had to read it twice to be sure I was understanding her correctly. I would say she needs to look to her own actions and beliefs before she spends much time bemoaning the actions and beliefs of others.

Her dream job raising money to kill babies... not my description of 'dream".

Maybe she can worship the god of Molech and not experience anti-Semitism.
