Biden has operated in a protective bubble, often hermetically sealed from tough questioning. Many reporters believe the White House hid signs of Biden's aging, and played them...

This is disingenuous. The very fact that Biden has been shielded, obviously, is all these "journalist" and frankly the American people needed to demand answers. But there were no demands, these hacks, fools just went along with it.

Biden is in. For the long haul.

This statement of “Bidens make it or break it…” is about the 7th time Ive heard that and he’s still standing.

Dems are stuck with Biden. What you will see now is an abandonment by the elites who will hoard their money and let the defeat happen.

Let’s all hope that happens.

When Jill and Joe refuse to leave the White House, who will remove them?

So, things are bad in Texas, specifically Houston, after Hurricane Beryl. CNN could not help talk about the heat “driven by human-cause climate change.” No effect from La Niña and no effect from the underwater volcano explosion in Sept. 2022. Just more propaganda.

The big news Ted Cruz left out, was that Jon Ossoff (D-GA) voted against the nomination - the first time a Dem has voted against a Biden judicial apportionment.

Pretty much every presser/interview, etc. Biden faces from here on out is a 'make or break' moment.

Ossoff knows he will have a hard time getting reelected. With school choice and a string Republican governor, GA should follow FL in turning more Republican

Georgia was reliably Red until Trump's antics stirred the pot here. (I live in North Georgia.) The state went to GWB in 2000 & 2004, McCain in 2008, Romney in 2012, and Trump in 2016.

Trump turned this state purple. Prior to the 2020, Georgia had two Republican Senators (David Perdue & Kelly Loeffler) and a Republican governor. After the 2020 re-vote, both Perdue & Loeffler lost their seats to Democrats, and the state re-vote went to Biden. (Yes, I DO believe Trump lost the state fair-and-square. Knowing my neighbors and my community as I do, I can assure you that many Bible-Belt Christians here were having a difficult time pulling the lever for Trump the second time; and they chose to stay home rather than have to go vote for him for a third time in the re-vote. They just weren't excited to support him.)

In 2022, Trump, angered by our governor's decision to re-open Georgia early, following the 2020 shut-down, backed Perdue in the primary against our sitting Republican governor, Brian Kemp. To stave off Perdue's challenge, Kemp had to spend funds that SHOULD HAVE gone to defeat (D) Stacey Abrams in the General Election. Perdue lost in the primary, and Kemp went on to cruise past Abrams in the fall -- praise God! We Georgians haven't forgotten: The extra expenditure of money -- and the bad-mouthing of a very good governor -- could have cost Kemp his reelection.

Trump also hand-picked Ossoff's and Warnock's opponents (respectively, Perdue -- again -- and Herschel Walker, who was an AWFUL choice); and the Dems retained the seats that had previously been held by Republicans. Ossoff is a Senator today because of Trump's interference here. If Trump would just butt out, we'd turn Red again.

I also have stated publicly that had Trump listened and followed Kemp's advice and criticized Fauci, he would have won in 2020. Then Trump would have let GA do its thing. But Trump is not the most gifted politician. He was better than the field in 2016 for sure.

Trump was also "better than the field" in 2020, as well. If he could get control of his mouth, he would be a shoo-in.

I live in Atlanta. I understand and believe you. But Ga Republicans have done themselves few favors for refusing year after year to vote for School Choice. I interact with many blacks. School Choice is a huge advantage in that many rational Blacks want more school choices. I talked with a lady today. She has three kids (12 to 16). She thought about home schooling her kids because she is home while her kids are at school and work nights. She has a sister in Florida who will home school her kid starting this year because she does not like any of the schools near her. I asked if the FL school choice programs will pay her. I told the lady that we have these $6500 vouchers starting in 2025, and the state needs to get the system set up. I am not sure enough Georgia Republicans are just yellow dog democrats that woke up one day and ignore some poor choices or our state party and political leaders.

Also remeber, GA is home to alot of Blacks and they are reliable democrats. We have to use School Choice to give these "conservative profamily democrats" an option to put greater faith in free markets and private solutions to important things like Education.

Another aspect has to do with the Westend of Atlanta--not the nicest place to live and has been for decades. In the 2008-2012 time period a charity bought a lot of abandoned homes and are building new homes to sell to people in hopes of finally solving the socio-economic disaster in the area. You should drive though English Avenue Neighborhood on mid-day if you are ever in Atlanta. Maybe it has improved in the last year or so. But prior to COVID, 90% of the homes were boarded up. This is one mile from the GA tech campus.

Lets hope Kemp runs for Senate.

I'm familiar with downtown Atlanta. My BIL lives in Ansley Park, and I moved from East Cobb to North Georgia in 2022 because of the racial animosity and the influx of a criminal element that tagged along with the displaced, lower-income Atlantans looking for a more affordable (yet close-in) place to live. The charity you mentioned may have purchased a lot of homes in 2008-12, but most of those in-town neighborhoods are now occupied by Millennials, not the people who previously lived there prior to revitalization.

My husband was involved in the founding of Blueprint 58, a non-profit in the Pittsburgh neighborhood that was meant to minister to lower-income locals, providing mentoring, tutoring, meals, and occasional shelter to them. The surrounding area has been bought-up by developers, and the people Blueprint 58 was meant to help have mostly been displaced to the sub- and exurbs.

I agree that School Choice is a great proposal, but it's not going to sway Black voters. NOTHING that the Republicans can offer (other than reparations) would ever sever the Black Vote from the Democrats because they have been GASLIGHTED for generations. I'm sure they think that Lincoln was a Democrat, and that Republicans were the ones trying to "put them back in chains," as Joe Biden claimed back in 2020. It's not going to get any better, even if a majority of Black voters become college-educated, because college indoctrinators are filling their heads full of Leftist garbage. The idea that Republicans can sway more than 25% of Black voters is a pipe-dream -- the same sort that sees Virginia as a Swing State. (And yes, I would love to be proven wrong.)

I'm sticking with what I wrote. In 2020 and 2022, the anti-Trump zeal outpaced pro-Trump enthusiasm, and it showed at the polls in Georgia. The Right needs to focus on Moderates, which are not particularly enamored of Trump. (And Ossoff has turned out better than I expected. Warnock, on the other hand ....)

MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR. TODAY, I'M PREDICTING: Once it is too late for the Dems to change their candidate, they will tell us that Biden has had a series of Urinary Tract Infections, which caused his mental lapses. Seriously. UTIs have an odd effect on the elderly that can cause confusion, hallucinations, fatigue, aggression, and paranoia.

"Trump is planning for a landslide win" , I hate when Republicans do this. That thrill of victory dissolved in the non existent Red Wave of 2022. Republicans have an innate ability to blow an election through their own stupidity. Trump is always one speech away from turning off moderate voters.

I am constantly amazed that people continue to be totally dependent on an outside entity to ensure that they are never without power, water, the means to cook and preserve their food, and keep cool or warm. I hope to goodness that neither Trump nor any republican is truly preparing for a landslide victory. As was recently stated by someone else, there are many people who hate Trump so much they would vote for a head of lettuce. Which is kind of what is in office now.

Exactly. Pennsylvania needs to be removed from the list of Swing States. They voted for John Fetterman with all his cognitive challenges when he was running against Dr. Oz. If the majority of Pennsylvanians will vote for Fetterman, they'll vote for Biden.

Expand full comment

Many of Fetterman's statements in the past few months have been more intelligent and more moderate than what's been coming out of Biden's mouth.

Expand full comment

Agreed, but Fetterman's speech was incoherent during his candidacy, which was my point. Like Biden, during Biden's 2020 candidacy, Fetterman was largely shielded, and when he did speak, his comments weren't particularly erudite (or even reassuring, for that matter).

Biden will be the nominee. You have to go back to Nixon in 60 & 72 to find a nominee who lost a presidential election and got another shot. In modern times, you only get 1 shot and none of these bug names want to waste their one shot on a last minute campaign with no DMC $ and already behind by substantial percentages in all swing states.

Sitting here listening after reading show notes and I have several comments.

1. As a lifetime Georgia resident looking at grid problems in Texas and California, Thank GOD for high priced, zero emissions , renewable energy Plant Votgle.

2. Its really refreshing to watch the Democrats practice the Patented Republican circular firing squad.

3. If rednecks in NASCAR can build a wall that'll stop a 190 mph car, we should be able to wall off a border!

4. And apparently Chuck Schumer is talking out both sides of his face again about J Biden. And Trump's the liar! Sheeesh!

2 things: note regarding "Biden's top Jewish Supporters..." really. It's plural too. Why? How?

Axios says, “Don't underestimate reporters' bitterness at this White House.” I don't believe this for a minute. The last time I checked each of those reporters had eyes. They are not that stupid. OK, stupid yes, but not that stupid.
