Axios...

Younger Americans raised on smartphones tend to be more conflict-averse in both political interactions and daily settings such as work.

Cause and effect, they have restarted social skills. They have no idea how to do conflict resolution.

But wait! It gets worse:...

The tried and true progressive message, we are on the right track we just haven't gone far enough to see the benefits. She is saying what she would do differently is double down on what the Biden-Harris administration has already done.

Something that concerns me:

Every election we wait on a group of 'experts' to call a race for a particular candidate. It's based on exit polls, vote analysis and other data.

With the race soooooooo close, how can they call a race until all the votes are actually counted? What happens if they call a swing state like PA for one candidate, but by the time all the votes are counted, the state goes the other way?

What happens to the country If the race is called late on 11/5 or early 11/6, but 3-5 days later, the states report different results?

Good heavens the trouble that would cause.

Maybe Erick could do a segment on 'Decision HQ' on how it works, how accurate they've been, etc??

My local library is the early voting location here in NJ. There is a line but it moves fast since there are many voting machines and poll workers. Been that way since voting started.

Kennedy’s name was still on the ballot.

Leave it to the democrats to muff up an opportunity to make the GOP look bad. And every Interview kamala does she just messes up even more.

I find the oddities of her responses troubling.

- She has talked about grocery prices and other inflation issue but says that needs to change. She says it without realizing she just gives a reason to vote for trump.

- She points back to middle class trying to express that she comes from that. Yet what she describes is not middle class. that's upper elite.

What’s shameful is her Miss America approach to a serious question. Why does she smile as she’s confronted with these serious problems? She appears to be fielding questions for a beauty contest! How insulting to those struggling mothers and fathers who lean into the meat counter, thumbing through options for supper. But hey, she was raised in the middle class.

Full disclosure: Rant coming on.

I am garbage.

I am also an engineer with an MBA, a father, son, husband, brother, uncle and great uncle. I am an Eagle Scout and a Private Pilot.

When I was 11 years old, I was shoveling snow for my elderly neighbors and mowing their lawns.

I had my first job at age 13, delivering newspapers.

My first real job was a busboy at a country club when I was 16. I worked that job for three years.

I was in the top 10% of my high school graduating class of 600 students.

I worked my way through college and took out student loans, which I paid back.

Yes, I am garbage.

My family is garbage too.

My sister went to school part-time for several years to earn her RN, all the while raising two kids by herself.

My dad was in the Air Force during the Cold War, keeping the radar station up in Barrow, Alaska operating to detect any missile launches from the Soviet Union. My uncle is a Vietnam vet. Another uncle spent several years in the Navy, floating around the Mediterranean.

My grandfather was a steamfitter, building Liberty Ships in Milwaukee during WWII. He was 11th of 13 brothers and sisters, the oldest being a Great War veteran, the youngest getting wounded while bombing Nazi Germany in a B-24 Liberator during WWII. He was lucky to make it back alive.

All of them, garbage.

My grandmother was a German immigrant who came to America after the Great War, met and married my grandfather. She made the best wienerschnitzel, sauerbraten and spaetzle you can ever imagine. She would trap rabbits in the garden and make hasenpfeffer.

She was garbage as well.

Another great uncle was with the 1st Marine Division in the Pacific during WWII, island-hopping and endured some of the worst atrocities that no human being should ever have to experience.

Utter Garbage.

My other grandfather was a skilled machinist, working on secret government programs during WWII. When the crash of 1929 hit, he was 17 years old. They lost the farm and had to beg and scrape to survive until they were able to find work.

Total garbage.

My great-great-great grandfather fought in the Civil War with the 37th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment.

Living or passed away, we are all garbage.

I believe in a sovereign United States with secure borders. I believe in democracy, the republic, freedom, and free-and-fair elections. I have forked over a fortune in taxes and always paid my fair share. I have respected our institutions and loved the constitution. I contribute to charities. I volunteer in my community. I follow the laws of my country. I play by the rules. I try to help my neighbors. I welcome immigrants, as long as they come here legally and obey our laws. I love all people of all colors, races, religions and creeds. I have no problem with gays, lesbians, or whatever they want to identify as. I struggle to feed my family because the frikkin' prices at grocery store are so high. Despite its flaws, I love this country.

But somehow...... I am garbage.

People like me are mocked and ridiculed at every turn.

We speak, but are told we're not allowed to have a voice.

We are continuously sneered at, lampooned and spat on.

We are unjustly called racists and bigots.

We are called every type of "phobe" in the book.

We are told to sit down and shut up.

We are told we are stupid.

We are told we don't matter.

We are told we’re not allowed to have an opinion.

We are told that our concerns and grievances are irrelevant.

We are told that we’re to blame for all the problems in America today.

We are told that we’re bad people simply because of the color of our skin.

We are told “check your white privilege” while they sit in ivory towers and vacation on private islands.

We are lectured about “income inequality” and “unequal distribution of wealth” while they attend $40,000 per-plate fundraisers.

We are labelled “deplorable”.

We are called “irredeemables”.

We are proclaimed “desperate, pathetic losers”.

We are derided as a “swamp of crazy”.

We are written off as “bitter clingers”.

We are called "Nazis" and "fascists".

They grin as Main Street gets destroyed.

They laugh with glee as our jobs and livelihoods are ripped away.

They chuckle as they continuously crap on our values.

They chortle as we struggle to feed our families.

They arrest us when we stand up for our kids at school board meetings.

They persecute us using federal agencies which have been weaponized.

They operate two systems of justice, selectively applied (or not) for political purposes, while flaunting it in front of our faces.

We are called nuts, wackos, and conspiracy theorists.

We are not allowed to speak on college campuses.

We are threatened with jail if we don't go along.

We lose our businesses because we don't go along.

Our voices get drowned out by violent protestors and the media that supports them.

We are told to “get over it”.

We are told we have to just accept this.

We’re not.

We didn’t.

We won’t.

We still won’t.

We never will.

So say the “garbage people”.

It's remarkable, how many RHINOs are bursting out of the closet this election season. Like, we should be surprised that Liz Cheney and Arnold Schwarzenegger and a Bush offspring came out pro-Harris? The only somewhat surprising thing will be when, a few months from now, Tony Hinchcliffe announces that he, too, was a Harris supporter.

This is ripe... per the Colorado government "To be very clear, we do not see this as a full security threat to the state. This is not a security threat," Colorado's Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold told 9NEWS Tuesday. Yeah, there are two passwords for each location but we only release one so it is not a FULL Security threat ... geez, couldn't she just use a rag and bleach to fix the issue?

"Free Gaza" notes all over but "we can't determine a motive"... really? ROFL.

The next governor of North Carolina, "Attorney General Josh Stein will likely win the governorship of his evenly divided state in a mid-single-digit landslide," ? mid-single-digit landslide? I've never heard of a mid-single-digit landslide. Is that a single digit win that is a mandate of all the people, minus the double digit folks who voted against them, but they are probably mostly deplorable trash folks that shouldn't count?

Props to the liberal news host in Denver who interviewed the Secretary of State, Jena Griswold, and pressed her on many improprieties, including the Mesa County illegal voting scheme, sending mailers to 30,000 illegal immigrants inviting them to register to vote which is against state law, and using the Colorado ballot tracking system to send messages to citizens encouraging them to vote when they had already voted. He then asked her if she would resign. She said "absolutely not." I have very little confidence that the elections in my state are fair.
