Don’t Expect Biden to Go Anywhere
Here’s the reality. Biden controls the delegates and they cannot abandon him legally. Biden also has an extraordinary chip on his shoulder over 2016 and has long been convinced Dems wanted to shove him aside. He does not want to be shoved aside and the only way to get him out of the race is to shove him downstairs.
Concurrently, Democrats have a huge problem. They emboldened left-wing activists to stop Trump. Those activists are now attacking Jews in the streets, firebombing fire departments in Atlanta, and invading sporting events to disrupt them. They will not go peacefully into the night. An open convention would be a disaster and a brokered convention would lead to a moderate candidate these activists cannot tolerate. It is far easier to keep Biden and hope the Democrats’ ground game operation and turn out the vote. Republicans are obsessed that Gavin Newsom will be the replacement. Every single Democrat strategist knows Newsom is too far left and must be stopped. The path of least resistance is to stick with Biden, which is why they probably will.
Debate Coverage
The fallout from Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance continues to reverberate throughout political circles with a shocking number of prominent Democrats demanding that Biden step aside.
Frank Luntz conducted a focus group of 14 undecided voters during the debate. Here’s his quote on CNBC: “My focus group all came in undecided from swing states, 12 of the 14 swung to Donald Trump. Only one to Joe Biden.”
Former Sen. Claire McCaskill and Biden ally with an unbelievable quote: “I have never wanted to be a surrogate more than I do right now. Because when you are a surrogate, you have to focus on the positives. But I have said very clearly and plainly that my job now is to be really honest. Joe Biden had one thing he had to do tonight and he didn’t do it.”
John Heilemann on MSNBC this morning: “I can’t overstate the degree of freakout about what they were seeing. I don’t know what will happen now, but I will tell you, by the time you got to the first commercial break, you had the highest levels of the Democratic Party, senators, governors, Congress people, biggest bundlers, biggest donors, there were conversations about, ‘What do we do know?’”
Even Willie Geist on MSNBC couldn’t spin this in Biden’s favor.
🚨 Scott Jennings on CNN: "We have been told for weeks, weeks, by Democrats who say, oh, in private meetings, I've seen Joe Biden do cartwheels and handstands while doing trigonometry while solving all the nation's problems. We now know that every single person who said that has been lying to the American people."
Notable Quotes
Jake Sherman: “I’ve had a lot of conversations in the last 7 hours with congressional democrats. Their sense isn’t that this was a bad debate. It is much worse than that. In their view, Biden didn’t even clear the lowest bar. They may agree with him on policy. But Biden wasn’t even able to articulate what his policies are. For Democrats running down ballot, this is an incredibly serious problem.”
Alex Thompson: "As someone that's reported on Biden's age quite a few times, I can tell you that the WH's response every single time it has come up, for three and a half years, has been to deflect, to gaslight, to not tell the truth..."
Dave Wasserman: “This debate making abundantly clear that Biden’s insistence on running for another term - when 66% of voters in our swing state poll believe it’s likely he won’t be able to finish a second term - has gravely jeopardized Dems’ prospects to defeat Trump.”
The Movement to Convince Biden to Not Run Is Real
One House Democrat said he spoke for others in the wake of the president’s stunningly feeble debate performance on Thursday: “The movement to convince Biden to not run is real.”
The House member, an outspoken defender of the president, said that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer should consider “a combined effort” to nudge President Joe Biden out of the race.

Market snapshot:
Why are these noted journalists and reporters, editorialist, people with their hands on the pulse of politics in the country shocked? They should all quit.
This goes way beyond whether or not Biden wont step down. Forget about the next term, he is not mentally or physically fit to be President TODAY. For the protection of our Country he needs to be removed whether it be through the 25th amendment or coercion. It needs to happen immediatley. And on a final note: the media has lost every iota of respect. They may never again be considered a viable source of information. Adios!
