China is unable to invade Taiwan, most U.S. and Taiwanese experts say...

This is pedantic. "Invade" vs blockade. The end result is the same, China is taking Taiwan. Really the blockade is a better tactic to highlight the weaknesses of the U.S. under Biden.

The response to invasion has a high possibility of the respective militaries shooting at each other, and we would need to shoot first, this is an "out" for the U.S. to use other methods like sanctions.

The blockade would simply require the testicle fortitude to provide supplies to Taiwan while daring China to stop us. It puts them in the position of shooting first to maintain their blockade.

Biden (or Harris) would fail the test.

I think Tim.Scott would be a great choice for several reasons. He'd be be the 'Happy Warrior' that would obliterate Kamala Harris in any debate. He'd help deflect any Trump is a (Republicans are) racist. Blacks and Latinos are increasing in their suport for Trump. Scott could solidify - if not increase - that support.

And Trump wins, it would make Scott a formidable front-runner in 2028. With Trump's age, there's a chance Scott could become the first Black Republican president.

I'm home sick today with plenty of time for thinking (albeit through brain fog) and posting, so here goes.

As conservatives and libertarians, we should continuously remind ourselves that our work in the private sector, winning hearts and minds, is what truly changes our country. Money spent supporting prolife causes puts boots on the ground, providing free ultrasounds and resources for women facing unplanned pregnancies. Funding Daily Wire enables documentaries such as What is a Woman? to engage influential people like Elon Musk and Joe Rogan to promote the movie and come down on the side of sanity on the transgender issue. Donating to Samaritan's Purse helps people around the world, including soldiers with PTSD and their spouses. Supporting FIRE and Alliance Defending Freedom protects our First Amendment rights. Subscribing to Erickson's Substack helps keep another conservative Christian voice in the discourse. Contributing to the Special Olympics allows people to see that all life has value. Boycotting Target and Bud Light sends a message that we're tired of our values being spit on. Being kind to others and showing God's love to our enemies shows the world that Christianity is different, and our hope is not in the world or its political system.

Politicians, especially nationally, will always fail us. Erickson is right when he says we need to pray for and focus on our community. In addition to being politically engaged, we must vote with our dollars and lead by example.

Great posting!

Reagan was right when he said that we are just a generation away from losing our freedoms. Most of us can’t do a lot but we can do something. A thunderstorm is composed of millions of individual drops. Write to a local newspaper, talk to receptive neighbors, donate to causes that reflect our values, etc.

I wonder if this little ditty is being sung in government HQ in Tel Aviv:

"From the river to the sea,

Not one Muslim do we see,

And that's the way it ought to be."

I'm honestly and respectfully not sure what you're getting at, but the charter of Netanyahu's Likud Party reads, “Between the sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.” When the Palestinians say it, it's genocidal. When the Israelis say it, then what?

Again, I strongly recommend the MartyrMade podcast series called "Fear and Loathing in the New Jerusalem," which is free on Spotify. Darryl Cooper read 80 books and 1500 articles in preparation for the series and somehow manages to show zero bias for either the Israelis or the Palestinians. It's time well spent.

I'll check that podcast. What I'm getting at is the appearance of a scorched-earth military policy on the part of the Israeli military, a barbaric tactic usually reserved for use by the vilest Islamists. I have (had) higher expectations of the Jewish state, considering their history.

Got it, and point taken. You may be surprised (I was!) that Israel's history has its fair share of barbarism. I was shocked to hear the firsthand accounts from 1948 as the British were leaving. What the Israeli Irgun did to the Palestinians sounded eerily like Hamas on October 7. It was horrifying.

I'm happy for Tim Scott. It's nice to read some positive, non-political news.
