I was listening to the (admittedly very Trumpy) Sasha Stone Substack podcast. She suggested that the reason why Trump hasn't been hurt much in the polls so far since the debate (granted, it's still early) is that while Trump lost the debate by any reasonable rhetorical or forensic standard, Trump came across as the more sympathetic figure in the debate, and Harris basically came across as somewhere between a brown-nosed teacher's pet and Hillary Clinton Part Deux.
She also mentioned how out of touch the MSM was on this point, and mentioned this New Yorker cartoon showing Harris (as Lucy van Pelt) pulling the football away from Trump (as Charlie Brown):
The problem is, as every Peanuts fan knows, is that Charlie Brown is the lovable sympathetic everyman figure, and Lucy is always a bit of a self-righteous a-hole and a grifter (e.g., her nickel psychiatric quackery).
I still want to know how he got a full-auto machine gun back in 2002. You're looking at 5 figures, and that's assuming you can pass the NFA background check. Unless he converted a semi-auto (and that's a big no-no).
