The Unelected Nominee
Kamala Harris has secured enough delegates to win the party’s nomination for President. As ringing endorsements from Democratic leaders poured in, Harris soared past the 1,976 pledged delegates she’ll need to secure the nomination.
Harris raised $231 million between her campaign and related Super PACs in a staggering 24-hour fundraising haul. While the figures are undeniably impressive, it is widely believed that much of the money was simply being withheld from Biden. However, Democratic megadonor John Morgan says he won’t fundraise for Harris.
The Harris campaign has almost entirely kept in place the previous Biden reelection team including top operatives. Julie Chávez Rodríguez and Jen O’Malley Dillion will remain as campaign manager and campaign chair, respectively.
While there hasn’t been enough time for quality polling to be conducted yet, Democratic strategists are worried that loss in support from blue-collar voters will offset Harris’ appeal to young and nonwhite voters. The issue has been magnified in the must-win fracking-heavy state of Pennsylvania where Republicans are circulating Harris' endorsement of a fracking ban during her failed 2019 presidential bid.
This is from The Atlantic.
As the nominee, Harris could alleviate Biden’s most intractable electoral problem—his erosion of the support of younger and nonwhite voters—but she could also potentially squander his greatest remaining political asset, his continuing support among older and blue-collar whites. What makes this moment so nerve-racking for Democrats is that they have no sure way of knowing whether Harris could gain more with the former groups than she might lose among the voters that Biden brought back.

BREAKING: Secret Service Director Resigns
U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has resigned from her post following a brutal congressional hearing where Republicans and Democrats piled on the embattled director.
While much of the questioning simply attacked Cheatle’s character and competency, AOC asked a remarkably brilliant question:
Donald Trump is more popular now than ever

For almost all of human history, pirates were considered “enemies of mankind” and normally summarily executed. How are the Houthi’s not pirates?
AOC asked a remarkably brilliant question...
And unlike MTG she asked the question mater of factly and with out grandstanding.
