Occupying Gaza
Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel plans to indefinitely stay on the ground in Gaza to manage the security situation “because we’ve seen what happens when we don’t have it.”
Why this matters: The news puts Netanyahu at odds with the White House which has repeatedly claimed that occupying Gaza would be a “big mistake” for Israel.
Related: Politico obtained a “sensitive but unclassified” memo from the State Department blasting the Biden administration's refusal to criticize the Israelis publicly. The memo purports that Biden should forcefully call for a ceasefire and “publicly criticize Israel’s violations of international norms such as failure to limit offensive operations to legitimate military targets.”
Biden Demands Gun Control for Israelis
The Biden administration refused to sell American weapons to Israel unless it provided guarantees the guns would not be given to civilians living in the West Bank, the Washington Free Beacon is exclusively reporting.
The Jewish state urgently requested the United States sell it thousands of M-16 rifles following the Hamas terror group's Oct. 7 slaughter of more than 1,400 unarmed Israeli citizens. But the Biden administration would not approve the sale until Israel guaranteed the critical weapons would not reach civilian outposts in the West Bank, which the Biden administration and its Democratic allies view as occupied territory.

Radical Universities
As antisemitic rallies sweep across college campuses, the Network Contagion Research Institute released a report claiming “a massive influx of foreign, concealed donations to American institutions of higher learning, much of it from authoritarian regimes with notable support from Middle Eastern sources, reflects or supports heightened levels of intolerance towards Jews, open inquiry and free expression.”
This is from Bari Weiss at The Free Press:
While correlation is not causation, they found that the number of reported antisemitic incidents on a given campus has a meaningful relationship to whether that university has received funding (disclosed and undisclosed) from regimes, or entities tied to regimes, in the Middle East.
Some Democrats worry Biden’s team is ignoring political warning signs
Democrats are growing increasingly anxious about the state of President Biden’s reelection campaign, concerned the president and his political team are ignoring warning signs and not taking action to correct course amid increasing indications that Biden is likely to face a tough race against former president Donald Trump.
“I am concerned,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said in an interview. “I was concerned before these numbers. I am concerned by the inexplicable credibility that Donald Trump seems to have despite all of the indictments, the lies, the incredible wrongdoing.”

Market snapshot:
The White House also didn't want to occupy Afghanistan. The Taliban promised not to do what terrorists do and, shocker spooler alert, they are terrorist doing what terrorists do.
MS governor stays Rep. Abortion wins in OH. KY governor stays Democrat. Both houses of the VA legislature are now Dem.
The Redumblicans have so much going for them at the moment: Inflation, Drugs, Crime, Illegal Immigration, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Education, Israel/antisemitism/pro-Hamas protests and they STILL can't manage to advance their agenda by actually winning elections they should be able to win.
If they can't pull an electoral hat trick in 2024 and win the White House and Senate, and expand their razor-edge thin margin in the House, they are doomed as a political party- and we are doomed as a nation.
It's looking like it says on the sign outside Hell in Dante's Inferno: "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."
We're not there yet, but the sign is starting to get easier to read.
